Location, history, good bed, clean rooms
Small traditional hotel in the old part of Rouen. About ten minutes walk from the train station. Simple breakfast, with bread still warm from the bakery. Excellent homemade lunch Comfortable room. I enjoyed the old fashioned blankets on the bed! This was my favourite hotel during my recent three week rail trip.
As it’s an old property, no lift. That can’t be changed.
so charming! perfect location. staff was so kind and helpful.
walls were a bit thin, so you could hear quite a bit, but that’s to be expected since the place is so old, and did not bother me really
Great find in Rouen - close to all we wanted to see, spacious room and friendly staff. Breakfast smelled great, but we did not dine at the hotel as we had other plans. So much to see and do close to the hotel.
Everything - The ambiance , charm and location is excellent..Thank you Sarah for being so helpful. Will definitely be going back.
Nothing not to like
The location is great and the hotel has a parking arrangement with the municipal parking round the corner under the shopping mall. The breakfast are good and the staff are nice.
Room 33 is under the roof and the wiring needs attention/upgrading. The freestanding wardrobe doesn’t open or close properly. Worryingly, the fire exit door was locked, which needs urgent attention.
A charming little hotel, right in the middle of the old quarter. The rooms and passageways are brightly decorated. The room we had, though small, was very comfortable. Breakfast is good.
Great value, excellent location. Safe feeling for a solo traveler.
Bathroom lighting was poor, very limited space for toiletries.
Highly recommended. Bang in the historic centre in a lovely building, great room too!
Bedroom was clean and tidy, breakfast was very good and drinks in the courtyard a must.
Our rooms were at the top of the house but not really a problem
Location great, staff lovely, enjoyed the decor, good value for money.
Great location with a wonderful French feel with yummy food
No lift but knew this when I booked so was prepared
Wonderfully quiet, the courtyard was the perfect way to enter the building and the location. The staff were very helpful. The restored Medieval building was something special. It felt secure.
It couldn’t be helped but the stairs were difficult if carrying large suitcases. The ventilation was less effective in our room but we counter-acted this with leaving a window open.
Staff was very courteous and accommodating.
Stairs are steep and pitched in places and there are places without handrails. I would not stay there again because they are dangerous.
Very quaint. Perfect location. Bed very comfy
Shower needed updating
Courtyard and dining / lounge area are lovely and full of character. Bedroom was basic, comfortable and clean with somewhat quirky decor. Very helpful young man on reception. Nice breakfast too.
Well located in the heart of the city
The rooms are very small and the walls are super thin! We could hear our neighbours in the toilets ..
