    Pros +

    • Great location and good value, but the room could use an upgrade and the bed was a little hard.
    • The medieval experience and the friendly staff even with the difficulty of the different language.
    • Location and the large bathtub.

    Cons -

    • Hard bed, paper Dixie cups only provided, and small room with no AC.
    • The bed was horribly uncomfortable. I could barely walk after getting maybe 4 hours of restless sleep. The wifi was unreliable and the staff were all busy with the restaurant and had no time for hotel guests.
    • I slipped in the shower which was very slippery and fell out of the bath landing on the floor. I suffered severe bruising and injured my lower back. I looked into my travel insurance procedure in case it was a more serious injury. The said to report it to the hotel. I told the owner who promised he would send me an email stating that the accident occured. I repeatedly said that I was not holding the hotel at fault. I didn't receive the email and as I was leaving je promised me again that he would send me the email. He never did and it's disappointing. By the way, you can get breakfast for half the price around the corner.

Location was excellent. The food in the brasserie below was good.

Comfy beds, perfect location, pretty clean

    Small rooms, otherwise fine

Next door to palace and a block away from cathedral. Walking tours start at Cathedral so easy to get a tour and tips for your stay. Extra bonus is that during the summer every night there is a light show on the facade of the cathedral at 11pm sharp. Easy stroll to and from event. This location provided easy walking access to all the best historical and cultural spots in Rouen!

Paid a surcharge for room with view. Worth it! Staff in morning was friendly.

We forgot about the check-in before 7pm. And we fell behind in our schedule and arrived at 7:50. But we called the number on the door and in 5 minutes someone was there to let us in and then helped us with our heavy bags up the 2 flights of stairs. No lift/elevator.

Great location, easy access to everything and quiet street. Perfect place for a quick stop in Rouen. Breakfast was a bonus!

Excellent, excellent location in downtown historic Rouen and very affordable for my more modest travel budget. My view was of a huge building dated to 1045! I choose my hotels based on location and low per night. I do not need a resort experience. Id rather spend my money on the trip and doing things. The stairs are a bit precarious but that was in the description of the property. Breakfast included is a great start to the day.

    The stairs but I'm 68!

room was clean and sheets and towels are new.

Not so dislike but the parking was a bit far from the property, although there was a discount given.

Centrally located B&B above small restaurant. Next to the court house. No parking in side but the staff can recommend few parking locations. We parked at opera house parking which was maybe just 5 min walk.

This is a lovely place to stay right in the heart of Rouen. No lift so you need to be ok with stairs, but good room, a yummy breakfast and friendly staff

    5HelenPosted on: 4-3-2025

The location was perfect.Right in the town centre.Hotel looked really pretty from the outside.Good welcome on arrival.

Too many stairs to our room for a 70 and 61year old.Room needed decorating.Bath had no mat,so was very slippery getting in and out. Toilet was so close to the sink that you had to sit at an angle to facilitate it.No parking and struggled finding hotel as it wasn't well signposted.Staff at breakfast were not very attentive and didn't have a knife for the butter ,so went looking, but couldn't find one.

    Nothing really

The stairs, felt very tired and the accommodation was cramped. Paper cups in room and not a very good shower.

    8DorothyPosted on: 3-22-2025

Fantastic location above a lovely bistro. Charming staff. Reduced parking price offered

The mattress was very hard. The bathrooms are a bit dated. Remove the bath and replace with a good shower to add much needed space

Everything was great! The hotel is right in the city center, rooms are small but comfortable. View from the window - astonishing, there also was a bath right next to the window!Breakfasts are fine if you are ok with croissants, tartins and fresh juice with coffee.

No luggage room - that may cause some inconveniences.

Location is great and there are so many nice things around hotel. The restaurant in hotel is actually pretty good. I loved an old city hotel, with its own flair and atmosphere. I was just for I evening and night there, but enjoiyed my stay

Beware of methods to enter hotel if you arrive late and have to struggle with codes and boxes with keys.

Excellent location in Rouen. Had great views of the Gothic architecture from the hotel.

    8MaisaPosted on: 2-2-2025

Beautiful view from the triple room and surprisingly spacy. Clean room! Nice breakfast (9,50€) included a piece of baguette, croissant, yogurt, orange juice and coffee/tea. Towels were changed between the two nights we stayed.

The water from the shower spilled on the floor despite the small glass wall

Wonderful location right in the heart of the old town, within walking distance to car parks and main attractions. Wonderful view over the street and Palais de Justice. Lovely supply of very hot water. Quiet at night. Excellent breakfast.
