B&B HOTEL Montluçon Centre

Front desk staff was very friendly and quick. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of items and the location right on the river within walking distance of restaurants was ideal for our one night stay in transit.

One of the best hotels I stayed at. Nice, clean, well organised, secure, and the heart of the city next to Le Cher river. Everything is well managed and done. The staff also are helpful and nice. The breakfast is also worth its value and there are also coffee and a vending machines available.

Very nice staff, very clean room, parking lot nearby was clean and safe, excellent location to walk around Montluçon. Had a nice dinner at La Nouvelle Auberge

Standard B&B hotel, so reliable choice for overnight stay. Well placed near historic centre. Good value breakfast.

The fire alarm went off at 0130 in morning - very loud continuous klaxon for at least 10 mins. We assumed it was genuine alarm call and trooped down to street in night clothes. Turns out to be a false alarm due to a fault in system which also meant the klaxon could not be turned off by staff. Ruined our night's sleep, half expecting it to happen again. Not impressed.

It was a quick stop over when travelling through France and there was a restaurant very close to the hotel without having to walk in to town

Everything!! Felt very intimidated at the hotel due to other guests that were staying and smoking ‘weed’ in their rooms! Room was cramped and full of mosquitoes as they had to keep the windows open in order to try and get rid of the smell! Not a good experience!

Very helpful staff. Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Good location for visiting the old town. On-street parking free just outside (restricted with timer disk during working hours but unrestricted overnight).

Difficult check in as is automated. We were not aware. We said we would arrive between 14.00-15.00. Checked in with automatic machine at 14.35pm and went up to room. Door was open and room hadn't been cleaned. Found cleaner, initially oblivious to problem. However she was on her own with many rooms to clean. We agreed to return in 30 mins and room was then ready. Shower grout was red with grime. After husband used shower the bathroom flooded and we had to mop it up with the towels. When I had a shower it had to be weak so as not to flood the bathroom again. Floor in room filthy. Coffee in machine downstairs was dire. Not impressed with B & B hotels and won't return.

Bathroom had a real bad smell and want clean. We booked this last minute to break up a long journey so we were limited with availability. It’s a tired hotel but the two staff we met were nice. It was cheap and …… you get what you pay for.

I arrived after reception shut. Access to the hotel and to my room was not straight forward.

We had 2 rooms together at the end of a passage, both very clean and comfortable very good breakfast

The location

Well pretty much everything, first of all no parking area. There was a private garage nearby but the streets you have to walk are kind of shady, if you have the chance walk them during daylight. Also nothing closeby to eat

Bedroom was clean and comfortable.

Had to wear earplugs because of outside noise as we sleep with the window open. Air conditioned bedrooms would be a plus.

Breakfast was good.Bed comfortable and right in the middle of the town.

Pretty faultless really.

The service was very good. The man on the service desk helped us to find a parking for the car and showed the best restaurants and sightseeing. The room was also very clean

The room was very very small. We had 3 suitcases and 3 backpacks. It was almost impossible to enter the room with all this packages. But the rest was fine
