Excellent location, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, rooms renovated and clean!!

The bathroom was a bit small but fully renovated.

The location of the hotel is great, opposite the train station and close to the city center! And also very close to the city buses for longer distances.The texture of the hotel is very nostalgic, beautiful and relaxing.Very complete and fresh breakfast, various pastries and breads from the hotel bakery. Also, all the hotel staff are fluent in English and behave very respectfully.

There is no elevator (the hotel itself announced that it did not have an elevator)

Very charming little hotel with comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Convenient location across from the train station.

Hotel des Poèmes shares the lobby with the higher rated hotel next to it. We enjoyed a family game night on comfy couches.Parking is available and recommended.Location is at a walking distance of the center of Chartres.

We had a room at the 3rd floor without elevator.The first day the AC wasn't heating, even the staff wasn't able to turn it on. Then at midnight it turned on without understanding how and why.

Great location, good staff, comfortable bed and temperature.

Several items in the room, including beams and especially a chandelier, are difficult to see in the dark and we kept bumping our heads. Also, there is no elevator so luggage had to be carried up.

Compared to other originals hotels we have stayed in this one has a more basic interior.

Easy walk to the Cathedral and old town. Convenient parking garage. Nice breakfast. Old building so fairly noisy.

The location was useful

The rooms have wooden floors so we were woken at 6am by the people above us to what sounded like them moving the furniture it was noisy and also due to the pipes running down through our room we had to listen every time the toilet was flushed or the shower was used. The shower holder was mouldy and the tiles on the bathroom floor were lethally slippery, the water in the reception had flies on the orange slices and the flooring by the stairs was all broken up. Also no lift so if you have heavy luggage would be tricky, we booked a prestige room and nothing about it felt prestige, wouldn't recommend or stay again.

It has the ambiance of an old building and location is perfect.

No elevator but this is expected of old buildings. It is challenging when one has heavy luggage but the staff offers help.

Close to train station and easily walkable to the cathedral

The walls were thin and the door closings were loud.

The bathroom was so tiny!!! Barely 3m long per 1.3 m depth for a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.

Good location close to the cathedral/centre of Chartres. Friendly reception. Close to parking (public).

The location is only a few minutes walk to the cathedral and beautiful Chartres town center. It is clean and welcoming . Bed was very comfortable. There was an abundance of towels , the decor was cute. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very professional. Breakfast was copious and absolutely delicious. Fresh bread, fresh pasties, jam in little glass jars, charcuterie, eggs: the works! Coffee was excellent. We loved Chartres and this place made us feel at home.

Having to walk up a big flight of stairs to our room and also the corridors are small and a bit claustrophobic. Curtains in the room had holes in them . They need to be changed.

Great location on the port. The room was very small but very cheap and was actually very cozy, like a cabin in a boat. It has stony office with a window and that makes it more spacious.

Central. Lovely bar area and breakfast fantastic. The chap looking after breakfast was amazing and so helpful especially as we were departing.

Beds were extremely comfortable and cozy and the room was quiet even on a Friday night. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Location was ideal. Many restaurants and sights within a walkable distance. Beautiful art deco styled bar! Breakfast was wonderful and beautifully presented.

Might have used more light in the bathroom in our unit but otherwise everything was exceptional.

The staff were kind, charming, personable and went out of their way to help me and make me feel welcome. The breakfast is outstanding! All the French fare you could hope for plus some good old scrambled eggs and bacon.

Location and size of the room.

No mini-fridge and the hot water was never quite hot enough. There was a lovely bathtub, but there wasn't enough hot water to fill it. Disappointing.

I scraped the bottom of my car on the car park ramp. It’s very steep. I was pretty upset about this
