Nice central location, close to shops and restaurants. It was also relatively close to the railway station. A solid breakfast was included. Staff were helpful. Room wasn't spacious, but did the job.

Couldn't get very hot water in the shower.

Great location. Good value for money. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent. I left my wedding ring in the room (very stupid of me!) and it's since been returned to me in the UK by the hotel staff. Wonderful service.

The hotel is in a great location on the main square. The rooms are basic but very clean.

Well situated in the town. Comfortable beds. The lady on reception was very helpful when we requested extra bedding. The breakfast was great. We booked car parking prior to arrival. Good choice of places to eat in the town.

Typical tiny roads around the centre of town near the hotel, definitely easier to navigate in a small to medium car. Or excellent driving skills.

Excellent stop off around the Reims area as we drove back to the UK after ski holiday in the French Alps.We needed safe car parking due to having skis strapped to the car, so the underground car park was excellent.This hotel is in the centre of town in Chalon en Champagne- great to have a few bars to walk to for a lovely apperatif in the sunshine, along with some restaurants too.We opted for 'Shop & Bieres' which was v popular for a drink, and then the fast food 'L' Hamburgerie' opposite the hotel as we were hungry & needed to eat fast! Teenagers + husband loved their burgers & said they were super tasty!Also fun to do in the evening is a lit up route taking you around the town (look out for the blue lights to follow on the pavements) - light shows are projected into bridges & buildings called 'Metamorph/euse'. Think you can also see it from a boat trip on the river.If you have time, also good is the covered market, selling lots of lovely food, honey, freshly cooked chickens, breads, fruit & vegetables all beautifully presented.Other shops which looked good were the award winning chocolatier, near the market - it was Easter, so they had some beautiful eggs (bit out of our price range, but nice to look at all the same!)A great stop off hotel & location - definitely recommend.Teenagers liked the small gym at the hotel too!

The breakfast in the hotel was absolutely fine, but not the best we've ever had. It was, however, included in the Booking.com price, so nothing really to complain about.

Breakfast was only OK - a bit basic. Ibis decor is hard to live with. After paying for parking, we ended up spending 150€ for 1 night - I thought that was a bit steep for an Ibis, though admittedly the location was fantastic.

Breakfast was very good. The bed was comfortable. It's a good location for sight seeing, BUT it was unnerving to hear women openly walking around just outside the hotel offering their 'services!'. Coupled with the security issue noted below, I would have felt quite vulnerable if I hadn't had my dog with me. I would also avoid the parks early morning, there seemed to be groups of young men loitering around.

I've stayed in numerous ibis styles, and they've all been very good except this one. I wrongly assumed that all 'Styles' would be similar. There was no restaurant. The room was extremely basic and superficially clean - the skirting and edge of carpet and in the bathroom was particularly mucky. Despite having heating controls in the bedroom, the temperature is set for the whole hotel - it was far too warm for me and, in particular, my dog. Except for the lady at breakfast, I didn't find the staff very helpful. I asked for some directions to be repeated as two different versions were given to me - he was very impatient. On checking out, I asked if a code was needed for the underground parking or whether the door opened automatically. He sighed and said he'd already given me the code. He then said something in french and laughed with the person next to him. Very unprofessional. No information was given to me on arrival about breakfast times, or the fact that there was free coffee. Security is poor. There was no key security with the lift, and often, there were no staff in reception to monitor who was entering the hotel. I begrudge being charged so much for a very poor hotel. I've stayed in Ibis budget hotels in france that have given a better experience for half the price.

The hotel is very central and the breakfast is nice

The room was very cold and there wasn’t an option to increase the heating. No USB charging points, no rubbish bin in the room apart from a tiny one in the bathroom and the staff didn’t explain much about anything.

Perfectly placed for restaurants, bars, shops; we went for a low key Christmas market - perfect, right outside the hotel. Parking under the hotel for €10 a day was very convenient and breakfast was varied and well-prepared.

Quite cold in the room on arrival, upping the temperature of the air-conditioning improved it, but couldn't find a happy medium - either too hot or too cold.
