    Pros +

    • - central location, must see places are all walking distance - very helpful owner and staff who speak English - artistic decor of the room- coffee maker and electric kettle in the room - separate shower room and toilet - there’s a supermarket around the corner, restaurants and pastry shops nearby
    • Nice boutique hotel, very clean, artsy, with English speaking receptionist and the person at breakfast room.
    • Staff were good. Room was comfortable a bit small. It was a good location for visiting LISIEUX. There was a good restaurant downstairs which was handy for the evening meal.

    Cons -

    • Nothing to complain about our 2 night stay.
    • No Air conditioning. Uncomfortable for sleeping. A fan may help a bit in June and summer months.
    • The en-suite was very small.

Very comfortable bed, clean and quiet room. Had a restful sleep. Convenient location to walk around the centre of the town. Had a very good restaurant. I did not need to go anywhere anymore.

Perfectly located within the main pilgrimage sights of St Therese! A comfortable clean hotel with a good continental breakfast to wake up to.

Location was excellent, right in the center of town. The room was spacious. The breakfast was simple but good.

The WiFi was terrible, really frustrating

    Location and staff

The booking, made through Booking.com had not been received so we were lucky there was a room available. Restaurant and bar were closed but we weren’t informed of this until we arrived. This information was not included when booking nor on the website. The card holding the room key said restaurant closed on Monday and Tuesday but we stayed on Sunday..

The rooms were fab we had a twin and a superior. They had everything you needed and more in them. The restaurant at the hotel served the most amazing food with very attentive staff.

Bijou hotel with eclectic art in foyer. Excellent bistro with warm, helpful staff. Best continental breakfast - selection of local cheeses with fruit and fresh baguettes, artisan pressed fruit juices, the best butter croissants with a pot of Earl Grey tea for me and coffee for my companions. Spotless bedroom & ensuite, comfortable bed, thoughtfully stocked with bottles of Evian & a coffee maker

    Great location. Really comfortable beds

Restaurant was closed on the day we stayed

The hotel was well situated in Lisieux and a short 10 minute walk from the train station. It was clean and comfortable. The owner was helpful and delightful.

The style of the hotel is perfect. Very comfortable. Would come back.

Bathroom wasn't properly cleaned on my arrival. Toilet bowl not cleaned for some time. Was unable to use cups or glasses in the room as they were not clean.Do not disturb sign was on the door but cleaning staff still came in. Water was replaced , bin in room was emptied but Bathroom still not cleaned. Reported this to reception . Reception apologised to me. Professional cleaners would be the answer to the only flaws of this hotel.

    7DavidPosted on: 7-27-2023

Breakfast was good; using locally produced products; individually prepared to your liking.

    8DennisPosted on: 7-16-2023

Central location, warm welcome, comfortable and clean. If you like alternative art, you’ll feel very at home!

Asked for an accessible room but got a standard room so could just about access with a wheelchair. Luckily, disabled person was able to transfer to a frame but room was so cramped with twin beds that it was difficult to manoeuvre around it and no hand grips in bathroom or toilet. Upon bringing it to management’s attention, they informed us that did have an accessible room but it wasn’t available. Breakfast was very limited but ok.
