Hotel Le Maxime, BW Signature Collection

A well run attractive hotel on the quiet and pretty riverfront where the staff is professional and friendly. Our handicap accessible room and bathroom were spotless and the bedding very comfortable. A nice selection of wines by the glass or bottle off the lobby set a welcoming touch.Private secure parking enabled us to leave our luggage in the car overnight.A lovely walk to historic part of Auxerre with its colorful half-timbered houses starts behind the hotel.

Location is great, right by the water and has its own parking so useful for roadtrippers. Would recommend for max 1-2 nights

Hotel is old, and even though the furnishing is in good state it still feels old and uninviting. Room service menu was not interesting at all

Property is pretty and clean and in a great location directly across from the river. Quiet neighborhood.

We had to move rooms after the first night because the A/C made a very loud banging sound all night whenever it kicked on. The next room had the same problem. We did not get restful sleep while staying here.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and adequate and parking was convenient. Breakfast was a suprise every morning with delicious and bountiful choices.

Some maintenance should be done in the bathroom. Also, some of the electrical fittings were loose.

room was a little too small for 2 big cases 2 people and a dog but decent size for 2 people passing by.

The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the river, restaurants and good place to take a dog for walk along the river.

The room is a bit small and cold although we did turn on the heater but it seemed the heater doesn't work properly!!

3rd stay - so obviously like it

Very serious leak into room from rain ☔️ . The ceiling very wet and water ? coming down in cupboard with clothes. Carpet and pillows by bed soaked
