- The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. The wifi worked pretty well. Room size was quite adequate, and the location wasn't bad. There is a Portuguese place across the street that looked good, but it was closed for the New Years holiday.

- Restaurant across the street aside, nothing really in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is not the newest property, but the place is well-maintained. I had lunch after I checked in, and, while the food was decent, it look a very, very long time to arrive.
- The garbage of the bathroom was broken. This was the only cons about the hotel.

The hotel is close to the airport and used by all the airline crews. It is walking distance from the São José Fortress and Public Market, and a short ride from the equator.
Room are a bit small so travellers with toddlers might be a bit cramped.
