Hôtel Inn Design La Rochelle

Quick to get back on the road but, far off attractions...

The room was exceptional for a motel-like facility. The room photos are accurate, though the lobby area looks more subdued. The breakfast was good for less than ten euros. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and shower very spacious. I didn't expect such luxuries in an a budget hotel that costs about USD85 per night. Free parking is an added plus. It works great for people traveling in their own cars.

The breakfast could be better.

The breakfast was just ok but could do with more hot food available apart from boiling your own eggs. The location was quite isolated and no restaurants available within walking distance due to the road/motorway system.

The bathroom needed more detailed cleaning (corners on floor especially). The shower area ceiling had some algae sections. The shower tray was slippery when wet. I would say it’s more a motel than hotel. The garden area was badly maintained and the reception plants looked dead.

The bed was comfortable. The facilities were functional. I need to attend an internet meeting. The WiFi was stable and there was a good flat surface to use as a deskMelissa on reception was friendly and very helpful and spoke good English

All staff we met were friendly and welcoming with Mellissa at reception outstanding. The hotel has been refurbished and located close to main routes and in the outer town with a short drive or taxi to old town centre or a 15 to 20 minute walk.

The hotel is very quiet and the room was very roomy. We loved it!

We felt a bit wary that the car park wasn't neither locked nor monitored at all at night

Clean room. Staff were friendly. Handy for the motorway. Good selection at breakfast. Onsite parking.

No milk for tea & coffee. But quickly rectified by reception

Location not as good as expected - a fair way from La Rochelle centre. Fortunately, travel into La Rochelle by bus was regular. Weather was good too, or the walk to the bus stop would have been unpleasant

It was superficially clean. The bed was comfortable.

Just about everything. In many years of travelling in France, this was the worst accommodation and worst value accommodation we have stayed in. The location was awful and everything shouted "cheap" at us. But it wasn't particularly and was much worse value for money than every other budget based chain.

Excellent price, the location cycling into La Rochelle was superb and the Breakfast was great value

Lighting a bit dim just 2 bedside lamps but not a problem

The coffee machine provides a large choice of excellent coffees and teas. There was a selection of fruit juices, fresh bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, toast with various delicious jams. There is also a choice of cereals. It’s all self-service , I went back for a second helping.

I liked everything.

The hotel is your basic travelers hotel, good for an overnight stay. The breakfast was extensive with ham, cheese and eggs as well as the usual. Good value for money.

Decent hotel with parking, very much like a Campanile. Comfortable bed, Bathroom ok. Adaquate breakfast for 9E. Helpful and friendly receptionist.5mins walk from bus stop to get to La Rochelle port area, bus No4 every 15mins, last bus back is at 9.30pm.

Not very well insulated for sound, could hear people in adjacent rooms and traffic noise from road outside.

Perfect for someone traveling. Easy check in, parking in front of your room, great shower, air conditioning and really comfortable beds. The family room are two connecting rooms which is also ideal if you're traveling with children.

The only thing you don't get is the charming view of a costal city, location is not its strength..
