    Pros +

    • The hotel has an amazing gym (which is also open to the public) which is excellent for a work out. As it is on the sea front it also has foot paths for jogging and running. There is an amazing park near by. The rooms are huge, clean and properly kept. Breakfast is basic but healthy.

    • Lovely view, spacious room. Good location on seafront.

    Cons -

    • As I was in town for work at the harbour, it is conveniently located close to Port Atlantique. But town restaurants and amenities are reachable by car only.
    • The hotel could do with a bit of an update as it was starting to look slightly tired in places. There was no milk in our room and when we asked at reception we were told that they couldn't help us so we had to have our tea black. The continental buffet breakfast selection provided was fine but the lay out was rather disjointed for example the tea bags were on the complete opposite side of the room from the coffee/hot water machine. Also there was no member of staff in the room to speak to or to top up items that were running low although one did appear later on once we had almost finished our breakfast.
    • Some facilities a little tired. Quite a distance from the old town.

Hotel is lovely simple place in a wonderful location. Room was clean & of a nice size with comfortable furnishings. Reception staff were great allowing me to check-in early, giving me loads of time to explore La Rochelle Overall, great experience & delighted with the stay

Peeling wallpaper and mould not healthy. Must have water leak above window. Modest sized room. Beautiful view of the estuary from the room is the best. Narrow bath tub!

    8HughPosted on: 2-26-2025

Good location with promenade walk. Only short drive to Central area with many restaurants and entertainment.

There was nothing to complain about.

Easy to find, opposite bay with walking path to walk your dog. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff (special Thank you to Lola) Underground parking & breakfast included in the price. Secured & quiet place with watchman during a night time. Tempting price for our stay.

Bed comfy but pillows and duvet had a strong mouldy smell. Pillows could be replaced as old & knackered. Very poor WiFi signal in the room, lack of access to Netflix on tv. Towels should be replaced as old & washed. Kettle needs descaling. Tea & coffee sachets available in the room without milk & sugar. More breakfast options & variety will be nice as mostly sweet stuff. Overall decent place but rooms need some TLC.

Nice position on the seafront and great view from the room. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of food.

The bedroom window rattled all night, something was broken, there were strong winds but the window rattled loudly.

Nice reception Staff.Right on the water

Bit of a walk to the old harbour

on the beach looking on the centre of la Rochelle, great view. Around a 25 min walk into centre. Lovely location if you want to be away from the tourist hub hub. Staff very friendly.

the spa was shut or not yet open, we were expecting that as I remember. disappointing. the window had a hole in the frame like a handle was missing, strange. the weather was mild so not a problem..

Fantastic sea view and a good size room. They had started to make some upgrades in the room, which were great. Nice to have a new kettle that was really quiet and fridge, both really useful. Car parking was good but filled up early - we were lucky, but you could park for free on the road as well.

Management needs to check rooms as there were things that needed sorting, eg., the bathroom door handle came off (which we reported, but it wasn't fixed properly). Also, new curtains not attached properly. This place could be great with attention to detail.

    Location

Hotel in need of TOTAL complete renovation. Strong smell of car body filler in lift and hallway to our appalling bedroomBreakfast was awful...

    7DanielPosted on: 9-19-2024

Good location being within a 30 min walk., parking was perfect right outside but they also had some spaces behind the hotel for a fee.

The inside could do with some modernising, but its not terrible.

The girl at the reception was very kind. The TV is big (but sound was blocked). The view on the 3rd floor.

Internet didn’t work (since days) but nothing was proposed to guests, not even a discount. The Top of the walls were dirty. No heater in the bathroom (it was 14C degrees outside at night). The bathtub is super narrow, my hips were almost blocked (I am just 55kg).The internal phone to call the reception was not ringing anymore after 9pm.The bed was very noisy due to the “plastic” mattress pad, woke up every time I turn around.

    3HeatherPosted on: 9-17-2024

Secure parking was perfect for our motorcycle and the breakfast was just exactly what we liked - the second room after requesting a change was comfortable. Also lift was available.

Hotel needs upgrading - had musty smell in corridors - no wi fi available due to ‘technical issues’ - we were put into disabled room which was convenient for unloading bike but bathroom was not acceptable with no screen or curtain for open shower - bed lumpy - fire alarm went off at 3am due to other guests smoking and disabled room had bright flashing light. Overpriced for condition of hotel.

    6MikePosted on: 9-16-2024

Close to the centre 1/2 hour walk to the marina

    Beds were not comfortable

    7ScottPosted on: 9-15-2024

It was better than I expected from the photosGood view from our roomPlenty of equipment in the gym (it was all old but worked well)

Beware the 1700 check in time, it caught us out, I've never seen such a late check inThe building is a little dated

    3AlwenPosted on: 9-14-2024

The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were lumpy and the room was very basic.

    As above

Good Location 30 minute walk -on the bay- from downtown, convenient if you have a car, it has parking; , very clean, inclusive of breakfast, very good value

Hotel is a little dated (rooms need to be renovated )
