Un Hôtel En Ville

This is a very charming boutique hotel located in the heart of the old port in La Rochelle. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Bath products and other amenities are deluxe. I was on the top floor so it was very peaceful and like being in a cozy nest. Cécile the proprietress is amazingly kind and incredibly helpful. I loved being able to stay in a quiet, clean hotel which was so close to everything. I would highly recommend this property.

Close to the Port, restaurants and bars, rooms are relaxing and super clean, I highly recommend this hotel and from booking to leaving Vanessa was always on hand to answer any questions Fabulous Fantastic!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Vanessa was an absolutely fantastic host and gave us brilliant recommendations. The LOCATION — We were never more than a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, the convenience of the location was just incredible considering hotels next door were double even triple the price. Considering the hotel is in the very heart of the old town, it is extremely calm and we were never bothered by any outside noise. Vanessa was very proactive over text and even organised for us to be checked in a few hours early! We didn't try the breakfast but it smelled delicious and Vanessa gave us some great recommendations for breakfast spots around the city.There was a beautiful terrace on the second floor which was perfect for the morning coffee and afternoon soak of the sun. The room was ideal for a few nights stay, clean, modern and perfectly relaxing. We were able to leave our luggage on our last day before taking the train and knew that our bags were safe and protected. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly and will be back the next time I'm in La Rochelle.

Close to Old Port and great restaurants. Room 11 next to roof terrace. Easy access.

Difficult transport from airport

A beautiful boutique hotel perfectly located. Breakfast was lovely, I enjoyed the roof terrace and Victoria was extremely helpful and kind allowing me to stay on the terrace after check out.

Modern hotel located in the most picturesque & lively part of La Rochelle. Vanessa was charming, helpful & informative.

My room was a little cramped….ok for a couple of nights but maybe problematic if staying longer. Also wi-fi problems in my part of the hotel

This was the perfect hotel for my stay in La Rochelle. Vanessa was very welcoming and gave me lots of helpful information about the area. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel is just minutes away from the harbour and all the bars and restaurants but it's in a quiet area and I could sleep really well. I loved my stay there and would highly recommend to other travelers!

The hotel is located perfectly for visiting the city, within a short walk of everything. It is also right next to a convenient parking lot and is easy to access driving in from out of town. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location. Lovely entrance right onto the square and near the harbour. Breakfast was all locally sourced produce. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and given fantastic information on where to walk and eat that evening which was spot on.

Our room was quite small. If you are staying book a bigger room if one is available, if you are staying for more than one night.

Superb location. My room was fairly small, but it was comfortable enough and clean and the staff were very friendly. It's a great base for exploring La Rochelle and Isle de Rey.

On arriving at un Hôtel en Ville we had already left a hotel due to a bad room, Vanessa was fantastic right from the start she spoke excellent English and due to our previous situation she immediately decided to upgrade us to a larger room free of charge, the room was lovely with separate shower room and toilet, the bed was very comfortable and whenever we left or retuned to the property the staff asked if we were ok and couldn’t have looked after us any better.

Nothing I could think of to mention in a negative way about this property or staff. all I would say is there is no lift but we were asked if we needed any help uk move our luggage into the room

The only positives were that the room and bathroom were very clean.

First impressions were really bad. This is not a hotel. Disappointing entrance to a small house that someone has decided to call a hotel. Photographs on website are totally misleading. Room was so tiny it was impossible for two people to move at the same time. No storage space. No safe. Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. Probably tolerable for one night. Hugely overpriced.
