Novotel La Rochelle Centre

The location was amazing in the heart of the city, but you feel like you are in a quiet grove of trees. Very family friendly. They offered my children stuffed animals upon arrival. Check in was quick and easy. Very clean.

Staff was helpful and venue met our expectations. They also called us when we forgot our dog's food plates in the room, but we were too far. The point is, they were considerate enough to call and let us know.

Very safe and secure location. The staff was very accommodating and polite. The room was clean and all amenities were as described.

The room was small and felt cramped. We had a lovely view of the parking lot, which was unfortunate but couldn’t be helped. It’s not in a scenic part of town.

Situated next to a large park it’s about a 10 minute walk to the esplanade by the water or the old city center. Rooms are nice and clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly.

Breakfast buffet a bit spendy.

A beautiful location next to the park with only a 10 minute walk to the Vieux Port. Very well run hotel with friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and very relaxed.

We stayed in for dinner one evening which was poor. The pasta was cold in the middle and the duo green summer salad was tasteless and unpleasant.

Reception area was nice.

No way a 4 star hotel. Rooms were more like something you would find in a 2 star hotel. Old, tired, obvious repairs (not a great job done with them) and not clean.

Location and parking

Not clean at all. Chairs with stains. WC dirty when I arrived (had to ask to clean it). Carpet not clean in months.

Exceptional staff! The hotel is ideally located, and both the bar and restaurant were wonderful.

NOTHING!!

The hotel is in very quite location, 10-15 min walk from the city center with part around. the room was good and quite although a little small for the family with 4 people. There is free parking onsite. Breakfast was good, although I would expect more hot options for breakfast and some fish option. We liked restaurant menu for dinner, hotel has kids room with some machines to play the games. there was kettle in the room to make tea also there is drinking water dispencer on every floor. we stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it.

small variety of hot options for breakfast, lack of electrical outlets in the room

Friendly staff. Good size room with a bath. The cleanliness and location of the hotel which was also very quiet.

Great place with phenomenal location and extremely kind staff. We enjoyed breakfast and lovely park outside the hotel. Great for families although rooms are slightly smaller then expected which did not make any difference to four of us. I will come back.

Had everything you need, beds comfortable. Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast choices were amazing, buffet breakfast lots of choice

Private car park superb. No mirror in dressing area. Could not adjust TV volume. Air con appreciated.

Staff were helpful. The room was very good

The bar service was slow.

Nice hotel, located close to the port. On site parking was a huge bonus.

One double bed and a 'couch fold-out bed' - two single beds would have been preferable (they weren't available despite booking well in advance)

The hotel is very central to La Rochelle and only a 5 minute walk to the centre. It is dog friendly and has a car park which was very helpful for us. The staff were friendly, the room clean and tidy and checkin was simple. All in all it was exactly what we needed!

Good location, free parking, swimming pool, free breakfast for kids, good package meal for kids.

The aircon is not functioning well to to cool the room. The room is small for 2 adults & 2 kids. The stairs has a smell due to the unclean carpet I assume.

Nice rooms, nice restaurant with good food.

Parking. It would have been better to tell us in advance to go straight into the multi storey car park next door rather than us having to try and stop outside the hotel and ask at reception (which was busy).

Plenty of parking . Excellent location. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was expensive.

Fantastic location. Easy to find, plenty of parking inside gates. Easy to walk into the old town. Peaceful location of hotel and a quiet room. Breakfast had a great choice.

Bathroom drains smelt a little and were slow to drain. Grout ready to be replaced.
