Hotel de Paris

The location was perfect and the room was spacious. The common areas were nice to hang out and the staff was very friendly and polite.

We slept on the sofa bed and it was quite uncomfortable. I woke up feeling sore. And the bedsheets had a "storage" smell which I don't know whether it was coming from being tucked in the sofa or from being stored for a long time and then used.

No negatives!

Located in the heart of La Rochelle, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the port, restaurants and shops. The hostess is very kind and helpful.

Nice budget hotel very central to all things in La Rochelle and right beside the beautiful food market. New owners are going to upgrade it. Our stay was for a rugby game and the staff could not have been more helpful.

What a lovely little hotel! The hosts were all really friendly and helpful - welcoming us with a coffee on arrival, happy to tell us about the local area and look after our luggage for the day on departure. Our room was petite and cosy and had a view on to the guest courtyard.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!However, being English and enjoying a regular cuppa, I would have liked access to tea/coffee making facilities as there was a nice communal seating area/courtyard and it would have been lovely to relax with a cup of tea.

Small room but good value for money. The staff were really friendly and helpful and gave us information on events that were happening in the city while we were there.

The Lady who greeted us was charming and so helpful, allowed us to put my husband’s medication in the fridge and then even better allowed us to have hot water to make English Tea!!! I would say there was nothing that we could have asked for, charming, polite and accessible. The parking was a little awkward, but only cost us 15 euros for the night and was underground so the car was safe. The hotel is perfectly situated to have a good look around La Rochelle and a wonderful meal was had at the harbour with lovely views and not too expensive, again highly recommended by our lovely lady (sorry I did not get her name!). We all decided if we could come back we will for further investigation of La Rochelle.

If I have to make a criticism it would be that the tap in our bathroom was very loose, the shower head would not stay in position and the toilet seat cover came off and perhaps a little bit of painting of the balcony would not be such a bad idea, but the hotel situation was wonderful.

Our stay in Hotel de Paris was great. The Hotel is located very central so you can walk everywhere. The staff were lovely and the rooms with a very comfortable bed and balcony had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

The people working there were super friendly and gave good recommendations. Liked it so much here that I extended my stay, best hotel during my trip in France. Definitely recommend!

The location was perfect in the middle of the city. It is very near to the attractions of La Rochelle

The hotel does not have parking and it would have been nice to know this in advance. Because of its location in a pedestrian zone it is not possible to drive to the hotel

In the centre of town. Easy access.

Pigeon poo on exterior window ledges. Outside area needed good clean. Not pleasant to open the windows. Ramp up to the bathroom area. Chambermaid didn't replace the cardboard cups every day. We had to ask each day. A kettle with tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice.

I had a lovely clean room at the very top of the building, overlooking the street at the front and a museum opposite. The building itself is gorgeous with a grand staircase leading up from the hall. The man on Reception was so friendly and helpful and recommended a lovely area for restaurants in the evening. Great to be so close to the centre of town.

There was no electrical socket next to the bed and the one next to the window would not accommodate my UK adapter, so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom!

The location, cleanliness was very good, staff friendly peaceful and quiet, no annoying noise at night, decent price for the accommodation.

No fridge, or tea making facilities, also no air con

The receptionist was really friendly and polite. The room was cozy and clean. The hotel is in city center, nearby the train station, the old port and all attractions are a walking distance. The neighbourhood is lovely.

Cute little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Location is perfect with everything walking distance. Roms have a balcony and there is a cute little patio in the middle. Funky decor.

Breakfast wasn’t the best value for money.

The hôtel was really well located and really Easy to find. The little relaxation area was really cute and comfy. We stayed for a night only but were really comfortable and the hotel really met our needs for the budget we had.

Location is fantastic! Walking distance of all amenities and historical sites. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could do with more choice of cold meats and cheeses

Bedroom needs to be upgraded. Wardrobes etc very old and tired. Bathroom also needs upgrade

Location was very central in historical area.near the bus station and indoor market.

Breakfast was not nice,not fresh and presentation needs improvement.it was as expensive as a four star hotel.They should visit Ibis historique nearby and they will show them how to present a fresh breakfast.dust on top of wardrobe .also the main area could present itself better if they had burning inscence or a fresh perfumed scent.
