Pestana Kruger Lodge

Amazing views, right on Crocodile River and the bridge leading up to Malelane Gate. Staff were very cordial, polite and did their best to cater to our queries and needs. They even had our breakfast packed on the Saturday morning when we had planned to go to Kruger early. Our accommodation was also very nice, with all necessary amenities.Food options for dinner and other meals were excellent, including buffet and a la carte. Bar was nice too. Spa was excellent.

Construction in the way of our view; room did not have soap and only 1 towel for 2 of us; got shocked in the shower touching the soap tray; very slow bar service; food ok

Close proximity to Malelane Gate Kruger National Park.An amazing buffet breakfast with crocodiles and Hippos grazing right below the deck.In house massage was great.

The “A la carte” dinner was extremely slow. on the 2 nights we ate in the restaurant we waited 1:45hr for our meals to be served.

Rooms need a major upgrade ! Bathrooms need a major upgrade. The rooms need an upgrade! 4 star is deceiving

They didn’t clean my room on the first day, The dark skinned lady waiter was so rude , she really disappointed me with her attitude.

The staff went out of their way for us especially to make sure our dietary requirements of halal food was met. Very friendly and helpful staff working . The location is perfect and extremely close to the Malelane gate . The grounds of the hotel is extremely scenic and beautiful. Lovely atmosphere

The accommodation - it smelt very strongly of urine - the floors needed bleaching. Shame the old water slide is derelict. One pool was lovely, the other dirty & unused.

Food was fresh, tasted nice. Just include items like beans, cooked mushrooms and chicken or beef sausages.

The proximity to the gate to KrugerLess than 5 minutes.

Very tired needs a lot of maintenance to rooms pathways decking of which some were unsafe. Windows need a good clean. Gardens need a lot of maintenance. Unsafe along the edge of the stream. Carpets in the room very dirty and smelly. Patio doors need fly screens. Bath water was yellow with sediment Only three choices for food on half board.

The room was clean and had all the facilities needed..Clean towels replaced every day..The food portions were genourous and food was excellent quality. If didn't like the half board dinner option let choose off a la carte instead.. Ideal spot to go to Kruger National Park..

The outdoor pool didn't look clean enough to swim in.Booked a safari and was given the wrong time 5am pick up instead of 5.30am..Then the drivers car broke down so waited an hour.Came back to room and cleaner had left her phone plugged into our charger.

Location was perfect. Dinner buffet was incredible. Staff were very friendly.

Service was a bit slow in the mornings while having breakfast. There was a function/big group playing loud music and revving cars from 12am midnight to 6:30am the following morning. Unfortunately, litter was left around the property after the group had joined Pestana for the function

Breakfast was great, dinner was average. The view over the Crocodile riber is spectacular from the deck. Location is also very good, as it is very close to the Malelane gate.

The dinner was average, the rooms are not very well maintained, and my shower's hot water did not work. When I reported this to the staff, they said they'll do something about it, but nothing was done.

The property is located at the gate of Malelane Kruger we chose it before we went into the Kruger. It seemed like the perfect place. Upon arrival there was a full scale conference/ party with 100’s of day guests all drinking and playing loud music from the boots of their cars. To say this is not what we expected from a family resort is the least we can say.

Dinner was not served at the scheduled time as they were too busy with the party they had going on.

The view from the restaurant deck is outstanding, if there was a bit of clean up of the bush it would look better. It needs maintenance. But overall it’s lovely.

We can see from being at Pestana before that overall the place lacks maintenance. There’s litter in front of the rooms, example plastics . The Aircons need maintenance, it’s uncomfortably loud we can’t sleep. The bush in front of the chalet in The Leopard camp needs to be trimmed. Theres empty bottles on the gardens . Our room had hanging gutters and rotten wooden frames. The lamp shades were broken. We took first timers to This is not a complain it’s to encourage Pestana to keep up the good service we knew.

Lovely location and very peaceful. Chalet was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Stunning deck area overlooking the river - perfect for an evening drink. Minutes away from Malelane gate.

It was near Malelane Kruger Gate. Our 3yr old enjoyed the swimming pool

The bath water was constantly brown and so was the water coming out when toilet was being flushed. Constantly had to ask for our unit to be cleaned as not cleaning was done
