Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens Golf & Spa Resort

The resort has great facilities with lots to do for all ages. We stayed in Fir Tree (no.4) 4-sleeper self catering unit. Perfect location overlooking the tennis courts. Nice covered patio with a built in braai. The bathroom has been updated and is great!

The whole resort feels "old" and in need of an upgrade. The baboons are a nuisance and raided many rooms each day.

I liked the location it was stunning and perfect for hiking and many other activities the mountains are spectacular we were quite happy with the location.

Staff were ice cold not welcoming the rooms (kingfisher) allocated to us we we arrived there were no towels and the carpet was wet, showering was quite messy with water running all over the bathroom floor every time we showered. I think when you are reserving you have to be careful about the rooms you book. This is our first time there and we are not happy with the cleanness of the rooms. Hotel needs to consider providing white fresh towels every morning. The rooms we stayed in didn't have WIFI and when we called the reception we were told that we need to go to the common areas to have internet.

The coordination for Golf Bookings. I was given the Whatsapp process at reception at book in time. I tried to book without any response for the next morning - When I went up the following day after no response, I was told no the person does not answer whatsapp. As a result I only played 1 round, even theough that was the main reason we booked there.

The customer service level was amazing, with great attention when needed. Facilities 1st class and well maintained. The resturant food quality and selection was delicious. The option to eat at the resturant instead of the buffet was much appreciated.

The buffet was very repetitive and we were hoping that meals every night would be an adventure instead of the same with very few new options. 6 days proved to be a lot of the same! A short stay would not have the challenge

We felt extremely spoilt with all the good food, the incredible scenary and friendliness of the staff

There's lots of activities for all ages, food was tops, the rooms were actually bigger that expected coz we had two separate rooms... Staff is friendly..

There were lots of activities for the entire family. Loved there were 3 restaurants to choose from.

The toilet in our room was not cleaned. The helper only left 1 bath towel so my husband or myself could not shower. It was a freezing cold night. We both needed a shower. It was too late to call housekeeping

Everything was perfect from the time we arrived thanks to Spha helping us with luggage receptionist, housekeeping was perfect

It was very cold but heater was there but i ll prefer upgrade on self catering rooms bedroom if they have air conditioner

Words cannot explain the World Class Customer Service we received there. Everyone was professional and helpful. The activities prices were reasonable and we loved the daily WhatsApp updates on the activities of the day. The breakfast spread was absolutely amazing, it is very rare to find a place that serves healthy options with veggies. We are definitely coming back in summer.

Everything was perfect. We had a wonderful time. Spha Ngcobo and Welcome Ndlovu were best. Only one thing left, they must put the air conditioner in all the rooms. The place is very cold. And the check out time is too early. Otherwise they are the best. We really enjoyed, so many activities.

I liked everything about the place. The food was amazing, staff very friendly and the entertainment and activities were top notch. Mostly in particular I'd like the thank Thabie who works at the LaVita spa..she went out of her way to ensure that I got my so needed massage and she did an exceptional job, I was so happy. My husband and I will definitely come back!

Nothing.. everything was up to standard.

Everything is in the area, restaurants, play area, water park, wellness center if you want to exercise while on holiday to mention but a few on the facilities available at your disposal. The staff is friendly, warm and helpful. The mountain views are amazing.I couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy my holiday.

The place exceeded my expectations.

Lovely hotel. We received a free upgrade to the Honeymoon suite. Lots of things to do - hiking, abseiling, rope courses, putt putt, etc. Located next to the Garden Castle Nature Reserve.

Limited dining options for dinner. Dinner buffet was not too exciting.

Scenery

When we got there, the room was nice, however the water from the taps was coming out yellow. The changed us to another room but however it was a downgrade from the original room. Yellow water in the taps was so horrible and then the water was also coming out sandy. This was in the bathrooms and the taps.The WiFi was only 1 gb a day. And we could not get connection in the rooms.
