Hotel Mas La Boella

The setting in the countryside, even though very close to the highway was beautiful. We stayed in an amazing suite that was very spacious, beautifully designed with an equally spacious and beautiful bathroom and terrace. The buildings are also beautifully illuminated at night.

We chose the hotel hoping for a gastronomic dining experience in the evening at the on-site restaurant which unfortunately was a big disappointment and we would not recommend. Also, the suite that had originally been assigned to us required lots of stairs which unfortunately we could not do as we also had a lot of luggage, fortunately the ground floor suite was available and we could upgrade to that which was amazing.

Not much food options

Possibly the nicest Spanish hotel we have stayed in. We had a lovely room with all the facilities you could want, including a super-comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Plenty of places to sit out and enjoy a glass of cava in the delightful grounds and the restaurant was great value with delicious food. The food was better than in the one star Michelin restaurant we visited in France the night before and about a third of the price! There’s a super wine list too. The staff could not have been more helpful.The location is fairly remote so you need a car to get into Tarragona but it means it has plenty of secure parking and is literally two minutes off the motorway and so a great stop-off if, like us, you’re on your way South.Highly recommended.

It is a little remote but for a one night stay, there’s no need to go anywhere anyway!

Location is easy accessible but no scenery around.

Superb. Very close to the motorway, great staff, dinner and breakfast. Have stayed here many times and it seems to be constantly being improved. The new paving from the carpark is a great upgrade from the gravel.

The bed in the room I stayed in could do with replacing, the springs creaked as I moved.

Very comfortable room (suite) . Beautiful boutique hotel. Great restaurant. Very nice and helpful staff. Loved sitting in the library with a glass of wine.

Superb food and service. Very comfortable room. Beautiful building and grounds. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend the restaurant, and would be very happy to return.

The building and grounds, while beautiful, are set in the middle of a heavy industrial area and close to a highway. The traffic, though not noisy, is audible, and the broader surroundings are quite ugly. This setting may be a great location for a business dinner and a corporate event, but is not ideal for a romantic escape. The bathrooms in the hotel rooms are an extension of the bedroom, which to me is not a good layout.

One person was in charge of everything: finding some food , finding a glass of wine, making our bed in the evening when we discovered there was no duvet. The restaurant wasn’t opened till 8.30

Fantastic way to end a busy trip through Spain. This property is out of town in the countryside, close to small towns with medieval ruins and wineries to visit. Great place to relax before flying out of Barcelona (airport is an easy drive in less than an hour).

Right next to a motorway and airport- you can hear these especially the motorway all the time.Other reviews state peaceful, although there is a calm ambience there is a constant motorway noise.Restaurant unwilling to cater to dietary requirements (eg pregnancy) for their tasting menu.

I can't even keep track anymore how many times we've stayed at Mas La Boella. Every year we go on a road trip with my partner, from South Spain to Hungary and Slovakia to our families, and Mas La Boella is always a place to return to. It's convenient because of the Tesla chargers, and unforgettable because of their superb customer service, the amazing meals at their Michelin star restaurant and simply the entire environment it's located at.We had live music this time during dinner, beautiful violin performance! We also received a complimentary bottle of their own olive oil. Greatly appreciated and we are already looking forward to return next year!

Nothing to complain about!

One of the best breakfasts at a hotel ever. Fresh produce, wonderful surroundings, excellent staff. The restaurant was exceptional. Romantic, safe, high quality and a pleasure to stay. Hotel staff were very helpful.

No concerns

Amazing property- Mix of old and new. Fabulous room and huge shower - great towels and bathrobes. Restaurant was great.

Just the sandy pathways that make your luggage dirty when dragging to the hotel from the carpark.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is tasty. Towels and sunscreen are offered at the pool. It is very beautiful from the outside.

The water in the shower keeps changing temperature from very cold to burning hot. The pool is surrounded by plants and flowers which makes it full of dirt and dead insects eventhough it is cleaned daily. The floor in the room is not so clean, and the room has not been cleaned at all during our stay even though it has been signaled using their light system (after 11:30 am). Even in other hotels with less stars this cleaning was done daily so it was a bit disappointing for a 4 star hotel. In general, the stay was nice for a coulpe of days but too expensive for what it offers.

We loved everything. The staff was professional and very nice. The grounds were beautiful and kept up immaculately. Our room was large with a nice balcony and a comfortable bed. The shower was good, the air conditioner worked well, parking was free. We ate breakfast and dinner both days. The food was incredibly good.

We liked everything!

Very calm place, big rooms, nice decoration, full of amenities and details, comfy beds, big smart TV. One of the best breakfast I have had, not in quantity but in quality of the products. The restaurant is recommended by Michelin, and we had a really nice degustation menu. Good location, close to Salou and Port Aventura, Tarragona, Reus, etc, but in the countryside, quite close to the highway.

Nothing to complain.

We are returning here every year, during our road trips, because we love the tranquility and the beauty of the surroundings, the friendliness of the staff and the amazing meals at the restaurant. Plus we also need the Tesla chargers.

We can not complain at all, only to the weather, as it was not in our favour to enjoy outdoors :D
