1 block from the beach, the train and from the outdoor escalator that leads to old town! So convenient and so clean and so totally perfect..great water pressure in those showers and great breakfast

Just the sort of place we like for a short city break. We picked Catalunya Express as it was close to the rail station/sea. We had thought we’d arrive by airport bus to the bus station but the timetable wasn’t great so we got the bus to Reus and train two stops to Tarragona. The hotel is pretty much over the road. For us it was perfectly placed to walk up to the Rambla, along to the Old Town and across to the sea front/beach. There were little cafes and shops around it and restaurants too. It was ideal. Our room was as expected: small but adequate; good storage; good lighting; windows in both bedroom & bathroom which could be opened (there is air con too if needed); desk & chair; sockets by the bed; firm bed but comfortable for us; small but workable bathroom with hairdryer, free toiletries and a decent sized shower. The room was beautifully clean and refreshed daily. There are seating options outside the rooms should you to use them. We didn’t experience any excessive noise either from outside or fellow guests. We chose to take the hotel’s ‘continental’ breakfast which was very tasty and varied. Well worth paying for imo. The staff we interacted with were all so friendly and helpful, particularly the lady on reception (sorry we didn’t get her name) who provided a couple of things which perfected our stay. A map and directions given were also so helpful. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Not a dislike as such - but perhaps a small bar of hand soap could be provided in the bathroom.

Enric the receptionist on our arrival and departure was very helpful and friendly, with a good sense of humour too. The room was comfortable and complete and the mattress supportive. Good location for the station and access to the Ramblas.

Budget hotel. Parking is 150 m away but hard to get to and overall is inconvenient.

Really helpful staff. Good location between the town and the sea. Old fashioned and dated style but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a really wide selection which made it very good value for money.

We went to the car park first because we were early for check in and therefore paid £20 a day for parking. The hotel told us that if we had gone there first, we could have had a discounted ticket but it doesn't say this anywhere and it is very difficult to park outside.Our room was quite hot and because it is on a busy road it wouldn't have been possible to sleep with the window open. The Aircon went to fan but didn't cool anything. We had to miss breakfast the last morning because it didn't start till 7 because of it being a Sunday. Had we known this we would not have paid for 2 mornings because it was earlier the day before and we had a long journey ahead and had wanted a really early start. The Saturday night of our stay, there was a lot of noise late in the hotel (doors etc.) and because of the age of the property, the noise from above and next door was not insulated.

Bed was very dirty and when asked to change the sheets we were given new sheets and asked to change them ourselves. The man on the night shift said he was not trained to do that. But breakfast was great.

Staff were very friendly, location amazing with a 2 minute walk to the train station and an easy walk to the old town and port area.

it was one of the most affordable places in tarragona, thus we booked it. it was close to the train station from Barcelona but a little extra walk to the sites and centre. The common areas and the room are clean, and the reception people are nice.

the neighborhood where it is located is quite dodgy. the cafeteria at the back seems like full of drug users. there were police cars though but it doesn´t feel safe walking home at night from dinner.the walls were too thin to be comfortable, you can hear people banging their doors in the early mornings and late nights.

Very close to all main points in the historical sites in the old city as well as very close to the train station.

It was a very nice stay. The room was spacious and had all necessary facilities. The location was very good, close to the centre, railway station and harbour. I highly recommend it!

A little basic, noisy in corridor but excellent location, parking very close (10€ / 24h), walk up to the old town about 15 minutes. Friendly receptionist with colourful fingernails!

No soundproofing and tiled corridor so you could hear every guest and their suitcases. Shower room closed off by just a concertina panel.No quilt, just sheet and blanket, felt a bit odd but warm enough thanks to heating.

The property was clean. The staff are good and helpful and the location is great.
