Cons -
- 1st room had a gas smell from the AC. The 2nd room, the power went out. Staff was friendly. Found it odd we had to email our reservation to them. Can't beat the location. A discounted parking garage is right across the street.
- 1st floor carpet is worn.Evenings, on 1st floor, there sometimes is smell of sewerage. Not terrible but easily noticeable.
- Terrible dogs barking for hours a few times. Cigarettes smell in room as people smoke on balcony is awful. Staff lovely as always but the dogs and cigarettes ruined it

The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are not large but well equipped and the bed is comfortable. The location is perfect, with many dining and shopping options as well as the vicinity to the old town.
There is a lights scent of mold or moisture that hits you every time you enter.
very convinient location. can jump into hotel anytime. Easy to access and everything by hand!
Car parking wasnt pleasant. Very narrow route and at the end it cost almost plus half of hotel stay. Not something impossible
Lovely building, near the sea, Roman arena, and old town. Staff very helpful and friendly!
Fabulous location, quiet and spotless everything we needed for a 2 night break.
The location of the hotel was amazing, in the middle of the city with a lot of sight seeing opportunities in the neighborhood. The beach and boulevard were very close as well.
The gym was not really worth a visit, very small and the equipment was not maintained.
Great location, underground parking garage in front of hotel (extra charge but convenient). Nice breakfast area.
As you drive up the Rambla Nova towards the Balcony of the Mediterranean you will see an underground car park sign in the middle of the road and the hotel will give you preferential rates for parking here. When you come up the steps to street level you will emerge into a pedestrian area with the entrance to the Hotel only about 30 m away, and what an entrance it is. It is very hard to explain but it is like walking into an ancient castle with grand staircases going off anf then after about 20m you go through another set of double doors and arrive at a completely modern reception area with a bar and views to the outside swimming pool. Tarragona itself is a great place to explore, and the famous Balcony of the Mediterranean is only about 30m away when you turn right out of the entrance which will afford you magnificent views down over the beaches and out to sea. Directly opposite the hotel pick one of the side streets and follow it up and you will shortly arrive at a huge square with wall to wall restaurants, bars and Tapas houses. The evening we were there we were treated to the sight of the famous human towers which paraded through the square every 30 minutes or so to great cheers and applause from the crowd. These are the famous Concurs de Castells, human towers that can reach up to 12 meters high and usually with a small child on the top
After our previous night's stay in a different hotel that almost felt haunted, Hotel Lauria was a calm, lovely, wonderful oasis. The decor was bright and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and they had extra pillows. our room had a small balcony. the hotel was in a great location for all the things that we wanted to see in the area and they even had beach towels to lend us. they provided a large and varied spread for breakfast, and gluten-free products upon request.
only complaint I have is that they don't use the multi-use/ eco-friendly pump bottles of shampoo and shower gel, but instead still offer the single-use bottles.
Great location.
Lots of ants in the room. After entering we cleaned and made sure not to leave any food out and the ant issue seemed to resolve itself.
Convenient, clean, good bed, friendly staff and hotel is beautiful
If the rooms had a hot water heater for tea. Or a better system when people would like tea than a microwave in the breakfast room.
Great location. Staff was helpful and very nice. Loved the balcony.
That a person has to walk by the front desk and thru the lobby to get to and from the pool. Even with a sarong or coverup, it feels weird.
Great location, quiet and comfortable. Loved the swimming pool and the breakfast, they even have soya milk on request. Plenty for vegetarians to eat. Wonderful ice cream a short walk away
Nothing I can think of
The location, very central and close to the sea, the help offered by the hotel to park in the neighborhood, the internet, the cleanliness of the room, the nice and helpful staff.
Perfect location, close to walled city and the seaside. Very walkable. We had a problem with the A/c in our room. The staff worked quickly to resolve it.
location + cleanliness
room was smaller than expected
