Hostal 977

Hostel 977 was in the perfect location in the old part of the city. We could easily walk to so many interesting sites, activities, and restaurants. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and cozy with air conditioning that worked very well. The hosts were so helpful in providing us with information about the hostel and special events going on around town during our stay.

For me, Hostel 977 was perfect. But, if you were traveling with younger children you may prefer someplace with a pool and more activity.

Very clean rooms, renovated yet still maintain historical cultural charm, very cool! Staff was amazing, so hospitable and helpful, wonderful people, appreciated all of them and very grateful!

Great location and great breakfast. We like a but more character but chose this hotel due to the location and price (value). Totally the right decisions.

Wonderful location in the old city, with the bonus that our room was quiet at night. Friendly staff and a nice common area.

My only suggestion would be softer ambient lighting in the room, otherwise all was excellent.

Good location to tour old historic area. Clean room and bathroom. Helpful and friendly staff. Room nicely laid out with great pillows! Easy check in.

I was in room 1 downstairs and WiFi would not connect while I was in my room, but only in the lobby. My only window had to be kept closed at all times for privacy reasons due to being on lower level, so no natural light. Room was extremely noisy from upstairs room. I could hear every movement the guests above me made (they weren’t loud but the floor echoed every step). Even earplugs did not cancel out the sounds from above.

Very nice room in the beautiful old town of Tarragona. Very friendly and helpful hosts, everything was very uncomplicated and smooth. Perfect location for exploring the old town - next time I'll stay a bit longer!

Excellent boutique hotel in the centre of the historic city

Great location in the Old Town yet very quiet. The room was carefully and tastefully designed to provide everything we needed. We appreciated being able to keep our bicycles indoors

Hostal 977 is located in the Old Town seconds from the Cathedral, What a beautiful building! as was the room. although the room was not large it was perfectly adequate, We arrived outside reception hours, but it did not matter as the owner gave ample instructions, on Whats App on how to get there, and the code to get in. :) There is a lovely Lounge where you can relax and have coffee, or other drink. The Bed was very comfortable, with amazing Decoration, & Lighting.

The wall to the room next door was in need of some sound insulation, as we could hear some talking, although not excessively loud, I would have thought this an easy fix. but certainly would not stop us from staying again.

The hotel was centrally located for exploring Tarragona. The room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. Instructions for checking in were clear Would recommend

We liked everything.In reception there is an honesty box to pay for coffee beer wine etc. The bed was very clean and comfortable a good night's sleep.

This is named “Hostel” but don’t let this put you off thinking it’s an actual travellers hostel. There’s 5 rooms, well decorated, good sizes for a short break, clean and comfy, Location is perfect, down a side road in the old town so it’s quiet at night. The hosts were fab as they send you super easy check in instructions and with a map to get to the apartment- only because Google maps takes you to the wrong location. Also very secure which is a bonus. Downstairs it has sofas and dining table which is kitted out for the chill out zone to drink and relax. The parking is a 5 min walk away and only €6 for 24hrs. Also has multiple charging points so you can charge phones etc using just the cable and use the adaptor for something else.

Struggling to think of anything we didn’t like. If we had to be picky, the bedroom sizes aren’t that big but only because the beds are super big! But there’s hanging and storage space for luggage so it was fine for our short stay.

Exceptionally clean, excellent staff information and attitude, Centre of town, quiet.

The location and the fact that's really a boutique hotel -- only 5 lovely bedrooms!

The mattress was somehow already too used, we kind of sank in it.

Location was very good also the building was lovely. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
