I w stayed there many times and always had excellent experiences but this time was not so good. Freezing cold room & very unhelpful staff on the desk that night (which is usually not the case as on all other occasions I have always met fantastic helpful staff).
My room was very cold with the heating not working, I then moved room and it was the same problem. The staff at the front desk was not interested in trying to solve the issue.
Our room was fantastic! Having a very large bedroom with a living room and three balconies AND a view of the palace was very special. We also liked having two bathrooms. And the bedding was extremely comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly. The breakfast is one of the best that we have had in Spain. A very large selection of hot and cold food items. The nearby park was a wonderful treat. It took us over an hour to walk the outer walls of the park. The secure underground parking was also very nice.
Our room was a bit too warm. We slept with one of the balcony doors open, which really helped.
Very nice hotel. Great location. Very friendly staff. Big rooms.
Very goodLarge roomClose to central tourist attraction
Little bit old fashioned
Gorgeous property with a view of the palace: what’s not to like? :-) Also, underground parking onsite. Plus, a space right in front where you can pull up first to drop your bags / checkin before parking. Walkable to the center of town and close to Madrid: fab place for a visit or an overnight en route to-or-from Madrid Airport. Food scene in town - terrific. Nice bar: great amenities including robes and slippers (my personal favorite).
All good. We’ll be back
Wonderful location across from the gorgeous historical palace. Very good place to stay instead of the busy Martrid..Only 40 minutes drive to Madrid.Great overnight location with lovely walking garden of the palace nearby. We were surprised at how beautiful it was, and how unknownv and tranquil. Free street parking available nearby, also hotel has paid parking. The room was very large and lots of amenities.
The restaurant food was not great. A nice restaurant that was hardly frequented, but the food was mediocre. The chicken Salad was is overwhelmed with dressing, and hamburger was topped with too much cheese and the quality of meat appeared to be prepackaged quality. For the same fixed price menu we had the loveliest meal at the NH Collection in Caceras the next night. This hotel needs to improve it's restaurant food.
Everything was great. Clean, very comfortable bed. Great location.
Beautiful hotel, great room, comfy bed and very good breakfast with gluten free options. Location could not be better. Right across the street from the palace and easy walking distance to all other sights. On site parking was a bonus as well.
35 euros per night for our small dog is very expensive when compared to most hotels we’ve stayed at.
Nice location
The rooms are dreary and depressing. Old. Not light, bright or cherry. I found the hotel to be depressing. Not a good value for the money at all
The room was large and comfortable. There was a huge choice at breakfast.
The perfume / scent in reception is unbearably strong, like it is hiding a terrible smell. The view from the windows is disappointing.
Location and parking
Breakfast was a bit simple
The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Spain. It was the one good thing about our stay at this hotel.
The rooms are very dated and tired. We were offered an upgrade for a fee and found the room to be nothing special. Upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk started joking about things and offended me by implying that by being older than my friend perhaps I could not keep up. As a result we decided to check out after one night instead of our originally planned three nights. We will not be back to Aranjuez.
Breakfast was good. Location was wonderful.
Beds were very hard. Air conditioning did not get cool enough in the room.
Fabulous staff, beautiful location. Great view from our 2nd floor room. Bedroom was clean and spacious. Dog friendly. Secure underground parking.
Nothing to dislike, although it would be lovely to have a ground floor room to make it easier with our dogs
Incredible setting.
Chap on reception on our arrival was far from welcoming. After a long drive to get there a smile and a courteous welcome would have been much appreciated. But, alas no.
