Pros +
- The hotel was very nice! It's in a great location and is walking distance from everything, like the palace and the center. The room was very clean and cozy. The staff was very kind and accommodating, too. Overall a great experience!
- Spacious, clean, well maintained
- Quirky accommodation, right in the centre of town. Lovely buffet breakfast and helpful staff.
Cons -
- The breakfast was a bit expensive for what it included (8€). Also, there was frequently no staff present at the reception, which made check-in and asking questions hard.
- Iffy WiFi
- Toilet smells, drainage problem and door doesn't close, open shower no curtain. Not double but Twin beds not length of my husband who is not particularly tall. Advertised with balcony, width of a tile and flat screen TV could barely see with chair in the way. One of the most expensive stays in Spain on numerous trips and very disappointing for a small room at Euros130 with addl charges for dog and parking.

Quirky accommodation, right in the centre of town. Lovely buffet breakfast and helpful staff.
Lovely hotel with a welcoming lounge and terrace area and comfortable rooms. I was able to check in very late with a key code after a long day's drive. The staff were very kind and gave my dog treats on check-out :).
Breakfast was maybe a little pricey for what it was
This is a well designed hotel structured around a building of some years. It is comfortable, quiet (looking over an attractive courtyard) and well positioned for the splendours of Aranjuez.
Ríen de tout.
It is a small charming hotel perfect for our needs. We needed a nearby town to spend the night before our flight and chose Aranjuez—the Palace and Gardens are gorgeous even in winter. I think we may have been the only guests midwinter midweek. I enjoyed a nice hot bath.
Great location Everything you need facility wise Incredibly charming We travelled with the dog and staff was super friendly and helpful
We liked everything, parking in the street was no issue during our stay, but probably can get a bit more tricky during peak season.
Great location lovely old hotel .
Very small room . No parking
Very unique decorations, comfortable rooms and patio.
It is different to have only a curtain on bathroom door instead of a solid wooden door. Does not give much privacy especially when traveling with friends.
We were delayed, arriving after the hotel had closed. We called the hotel and they gave us the entry code and the key was left on the reception for us to pick.
Beautiful courtyard with fair lights. Beautiful old world interior and exterior. Nice hreakfast
Lovely rustic historical hotel with charm. Staff friendly. Secure parking if required. Breakfast value for money.
No proper bathroom door. Just a curtain across it so limited privacy.
Very Quiet
Very dark everywhere. No light everywhere. Light only switch on when we get close
Friendly reception
Although cats were accepted, the charge of €20 each per night and parking in the court yard at €10 per night was steep. Also, access to rooms was difficult if you had mobility issues. There is no hand rail on 1st flight of stairs and no lift. We felt that the turtles ? in the courtyard were living in unacceptable conditions. The concrete bath they were in was very small and contained little water with only one small stone in there for them
Historical look
A/c didn’t work. WiFi didn’t work. No door on bathroom. Loft has no outlets. If you open window, it opens to outside walkway. Hotel telephone not connected. Big disappointment all around.
This is the second time we have visited this friendly family run hotel and whilst it lived up to our exceptions we did not feel the breakfast was as good as last time.
The breakfast.
Great location Very clean Rustic and interesting
Dark staircase going up with no rail No eggs at breakfast
A lovely place to stay at. I quite often visit Aranjuez and also try to book a room at El Cocherón. It has a soul! you can feel a personal touch in there. Besides, it's in a really convenient place, just 5min away from the town centre as well as the royal garden.
There could be a small fridge in the room.
Nice welcome at reception. Room was very clean but tight, just enough room for the bed and 2 chairs at one end. The room was very clean and the beds were really comfy. The accommodation was in a good location, close to main shops, eateries and the palace.
Not much space in the room. The worst thing about this visit was that Arunjuez is not dog friendly. A dog, even on a lead is not allowed in the palace grounds or the parks. Security guards with batons stood at the entrance to the parks. Few bars, restaurants and cafes will allow dogs inside. Being February it was cold outside. We had to buy take away food and eat it in our room. This was an issue as the room didn't really have the space for this. The best thing about our visit, which luckily was only a one night stop over was breakfast at New Cotton. This was a lovely cafe that did allow our dog in although large dogs are not allowed.Couldn't wait to leave.
