- Our room had a very bad smell like septic tank. We opened a small window in the room and it got better. The bed was not comfortable.

Clean and well located. The breakfast was great. Breakfast staff, amazing. The location was excellent.
A bit cramped.
Great location and very friendly and helpful staff.
Room was a bit small and the toilet was difficult to flush.
Hotel Fruela is a small hotel that delivera good value in an ideal location, just a 5-minute walk from. The historic old town of Oviedo. It is very quiet, near enough cafés and restaurants to keep you happy. It's very clean. It is run from it's parent hotel, Princesa Munia, acrossrhe street and , easily reached by dialing 9 from your room phone. The staff that we met (Julia, Daniel, Maria and Alejandro) were very helpful at all times.
Our room, 306, was not facing the street, which was fine. It had a well appointed bathroom. However, it was small for two people, with a small closet and relatively small desk and luggage space. We do not know the dimensions of other rooms, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. In any case, our room was workable for a stay of 3 days.
The room was very clean and centrally located. Valet parking is great since getting in and out of parking garages in a mini van is quite challenging in spain.
Good location, nice bed
The bathroom was glass and mirrors, with the glass door so large that you have to squeeze past it, then shut it, to get around the sink and get near the toilet. The shower had a swinging glass door which had be moved in order to open the main glass door, and to give you a little spot to squeeze into as you swing the big door closed. All this with mirrored walls in every direction. Try this while sleepy in the middle of the night. Bumped my noggin on invisible doors or mirrors each excursion. See photos
Super comfy beds, great location in Oviedo. The showers are amazing and we loved how there’s a spa
There were toenail clippings on the floor which was gross
Beautiful space, great location, very clean and easy walk from the train station. Two female Travlers with no safety concerns. Umbrellas put out to use on rainy days were a great touch.
Nothing, would stay again.
The excellent location in the centre of the old town.
The lack of staff and poor customer care. Parking was difficult and expensive. The bar next door was not always open as advertised. Such a pity as Oviedo is a great place with good atmosphere.
Exceptionally friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Outstanding quality breakfast.
Room a bit cramped but cleverly fitted so fair at this price.
Very nicely situated, around the corner from campus. Comfortable room, cute patio, very good cook (for ahi tuna, scallops, and steak) in the bar/bistrot downstairs that works with the hotel. Nice little pool @ the spa. Very unobtrusive cleaning ladies, they got in whenever I was away, just cleaned the floor, made the bed (even professionally folded my Tshirt) but didn't disturb the order of things as I had left them there.
The personnel @ the reception could have been a bit more professional and less work-shy. Before leaving, my luggage was placed in a broom closet! I grabbed my backpack that contained electronics and a female assistant receptionist reacted by grabbing me in a restrictive bear hug (!!) while screaming "This is restricted area - prohibido" – an experience of a kind... :/
Friendly staff. Good location. Good breakfast
Very noisy
Very nice place and a good location .
No access to coffee or tea in the building. You have to have breakfast at their other property across the street to get coffee and tea.
Super clean, very quiet, nice shower/water pressure. Location is perfect: right next to old town area, 5 min walk to the cathedral.
Nada.
This hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently situated near the market, library, and a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and bars. The friendly staff handled the 2025 blackout with remarkable efficiency. The cleaning staff deserves a special mention; my room was immaculate every day.
The furniture appears to be of IKEA quality, which is perfectly acceptable.
Very pleasant room and outlook. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a short walk to most places of interest.
It's in a central downtown location, perfect for exploring Oviedo. The staff were exceptional, coping so well with the 'power blackout' across Spain (and Portugal!) on the day we checked-in. Very helpful and friendly team.
A good city center hotel.close to the old town, cathedral and market.
