Pros +
- Great location, lovely staff, great restaurant attached to the hotel, fantastic value for money.
- It is walking distance from the Estación de Autobuses, although a bit uphill walk. It is walking distance to the Church of San Salvador and to most of the interesting sites in the city.
- The old building is pretty, and the location is ideal - close to the train station and downtown shopping area. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were so friendly!
Cons -
- The room we got had a key that was quite difficult to turn to open the door. The hotel’s restaurant Los Oscos have a reasonably priced lunch menu, but don’t make the mistake of having dinner there. Their carta de cena is €15 per plate. A plate of patatas tortilla is €15, and so is a single serving of Pote Asturias.
- You could hear the noise from the streets. Also there is no air conditioner which I can imagine is not that good for a summer trip.
- It is city dwelling so you have Lots of street noise. We needed the windows open for ventilation, as there is no AC. We stayed over a weekend, so additional noise all night. But this is to be expected, it is not a negative reflection on the hotel.

Well located, cheaper option than others in the same area. Fair quality since it is a 2 star hotel. Breakfast available for a very good price and lots of food.

Convenient to the camino & train station - great food!
Nice humble hotel, clean rooms, and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The proximity to the train and bus station is perfect. Excellent customer service. You can walk downtown and admire everything that Oviedo has to offer. We didn’t use the restaurant at the hotel but there are several cafes around. Confitería Cafetería Santa Cristina in the corner is open late with several choices for a quick meal, adult drinks, or a café. Highly recommended.
The building was clean, the staff very friendly and location was centrally located. We are walking the Camino de Santiago de Compostela- Primitivo route, so started in Oviedo. The hotel is an easy 1/2 mile walk from the cathedral. We traveled in the UK prior to the Camino & will again afterwards. So we have extra luggage for which we coordinated transportation to Compostela. The Favila Oviedo staff was accommodating in holding our luggage until the weekday pick up.

I really appreciated the female receptionist. It appears that the restaurant and hotel are owned by the same people. Even though they had a chef, they wouldn’t make me eggs. I don’t understand that. I did have an excellent salad with Asturian cheese that was outstanding. I wouldn’t call it a salad though because there really wasn’t any lettuce but it didn’t matter because the sauce it was placed in was Great! Also, doubt I’ll ever go back but Asturian MILK was the best I’ve ever had, oh my goodness.
It wasn’t particularly clean and there were many things in the room that were broken. Also, the bedding was old with cigarette burns. If I owned the hotel, I’d probably invest in room upgrades and definitely newer, better bedding.
Next to the Renfe station. Great and helpful staff.
No AC and it was a very hot day. The elevador is very slow and hard to use. The step outside the Office is very scary for old people. The rooms is very small and hard to move around a double bed.
Great service always for me at this hotel. I like the 24 hour desk and laid back yet professional front desk people since I started coming here in 2019. For a pilgrim it’s a good place to get organized and the beginning of camino primitivo is clóset to hotel than downtown or cathedral. Take of catedral stuff day before to get easy start to your camino. Place has restraunt attached but i havent estén there to tell you how good it is.
Appreciate the location to both the bus station and the historic old town of Oviedo. Very convenient for a 1 night stay at a reasonable rate!
Nothing. Hotel met my expectations.
The location was great. It's really close to the train and bus stations and at the beginning of the main shopping avenue. 5 minutes away from the historic centerThe beds were really comfortable. And the room was spacious. .
There was no lock in the bathroom's door.
very good location friendly staff and affordable prices
Clean. Modern. Close to train station and shopping. Excellent price. This is where I like to stay whenever I come to Oviedo.
Just because it's in the city does not mean it justifies a price like that
Cleanliness was 6/10. Mould spots, not perfect bedding, no rubber on shower screen(water everywhere), blocked sink. The Albergues in the village were cleaner
Fantastic location, near all attractions and in the middle of countless bars and eateries. Lovely staff. Room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was exceptional. Superb value.
Excellent location. Easy walking to lots of places. Real close to the train station. Spacious room.
Location is great
Very cold. WiFi doesn’t reach most of the floors
Great location and friendly staff
A bit old fashion but comfortable and clean .
Location is excellent, in the center of the city and near the train station. The rooms are clean even though old but in good condition amd clean.
