Berghotel Mummelsee

Our third stay here. It is very charming and an extremely cozy hotel nestled in the Black Forest. Service is great, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. Spa area is perfect, not big nor crowded. We also noticed more vegan,/ vegetarian options on the menu this year. We will be back again next year for the holidays.

We had an exceptional stay at Berghotel Mummelsee ! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, professional, and attentive to every detail. The room was spotless, spacious, and extremely comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax. The location was ideal—close to everything we needed, yet quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious and "NEXT LEVEL" with a great variety, and the service throughout our stay was flawless. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again!

There was significant amount of food smell at first and second floor during dinner time.

The location, the staff. The breakfast was delicious. The views were incredible even with heavy fog and low cloud. Small car park adjacent and it's free. Very good black forest cake in the heart of the black forest.

Two single beds and two sheets for a coupleA lot of employees at reception and restaurant could not speak english, so they did not give us much information. Everything was amazing, from the view to the comodities to the service. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Good attention to detail and aesthetic. Very spacious room. Made my first child here. Swing by the restaurant if you can, best spätzle made with local ingredients! Very good breakfast! Could not reccomend more!

Absolutely beautiful location, with a restaurant and store. It’s a central location for exploring the Black Forest and I love that the room came with a bus pass. My room had a perfect view of the sunrise and it was glorious! The staff were fantastic - my masseuse was excellent, and the reception staff were attentive and helpful. I didn’t make it to breakfast or dinner on a long day and they checked in on me. I also loved that a table was reserved at breakfast and dinner when you ask.

Our second visit to the hotel in December. Absolutely lovely, charming, cozy. Service is fantastic. Sauna and steam room just great. Already booked for next year December.

I loved the location and the exceptional staff. I’m on my motorcycle and having a nice balcony off my room overlooking the lake was so relaxing. I walked around it after an amazing meal. You also get a free loaf of fresh bread upon checkout!

The restaurant menue was a bit underwhelming for the type and location of the hote. For example, one would expect more wild game dishes for a hotel in the heart of the black forest.

Everything was perfect , the hotel respects animals. needs. I enjoyed the sauna and wellness area. Good choices for vegans at breakfast.

Rather a tourist trap but that's hard to avoid.in such a beautiful area, .maybe a kettle in the room would be nice...

Beautiful scenery at front and back, we had a mountain view with balcony, which was great. In the evening, lovely to have dinner with a view of the lake after day trippers had gone so we could really appreciate it.

Having bought drinks, staff failed to tell us there was a refund on glasses when you returned them.

Perfect location for the Westweg, beautiful views. Vegan options for breakfast and at their restaurant in the evening. I’d definitely come back.

Service of the staff including at the restaurant and reception was very nice. Location is also great! Lot of parking options.

We had such a lovely stay and would definitely recommend and hope to come back. We liked the fact that there were older couples, families and mixture of age ranges. We loved the setting, fabulous large room and the most amazing breakfasts. Everywhere spotless. Staff were lovely and extra services much appreciated (laundry). Busy lively area during day and peaceful and calm at night. Secure free parking a bonus.
