Hotel Elite House

Wow - talk about feeling like family! I came here with my mom for 1 night and we ended up extending for another 2 nights. Mestia is a beautiful place full of charm. What made the experience extra special was the interactions with the lovely team at Hotel Elite. I work remotely and needed a desk. The rooms are small and quaint so there is no space for a desk. So, instead, I went to the basement where the breakfast is often served. The young receptionist said it was fine to make myself at home, and wow, she meant it. I sat there until late (past 12am). I was surrounded with the delicious smells of Marina's baking in the kitchen, prepping for the breakfast the next day. She saw me sitting and working and offered me tea and a homecooked pastry. The next morning, we had a massive breakfast ready fit for kings - eggs, katchapuri, toast, oatmeal, fruits, tea - wow. Thrilled and stuffed!By the end of the three days, my mum and her were exchanging numbers and recipes. Truly lovely. (Note, we speak Russian, the region was recently opened up in the past 15-20 years, so English is hard to come by) Oh, and the internet service was great. Every where that I read, it was supposed to be not good because of the mountains, but I was able to have my video calls just fine. Agashenos ghmertma!

Nothing really - just small improvements... The bathroom shower door was broken, so the water would go everywhere. Not, that big of a deal because it would drain down, but the floor would get wet. The only thing re: the breakfast would be maybe to have some cardboard takeaway containers / bags in case people want to take the delicious breakfast to go with them and enjoy later. (We put some katchapuri in our bag and had it for a snack later, it saved us!! DELICIOUS)

The guesthouse is located close to the square, it´s new and has spacious and well-furnished rooms. The building has a lovely garden and I could have a huge breakfast for 20 GEL. The staff is friendly and I could store my luggage at the guesthouse for a couple of days while I was hiking.

The rooms are very clean and the hotel's garden is really sweet. Marina helped us with everything we needed and the food was very generous and good. We hope to come back there! Highly recommend!

Very nice and comfortable place. It is well located, very near to the center. We arrived just before midnight but the host was waiting for us.

There was no electricity in Mestia for some short time. However, that did not ruin our nice stay. Host should place a small plustic micup for tooth brushes in the toilet.

Cleanness, location

The room lacked adequate noise insulation, allowing us to hear everyone walking and talking in the hall, which was somewhat disturbing. Additionally, it was somewhat overpriced.

The location was excellent right near centre of town. Room was spacious and clean.

The fact I had to pay in cash and not card to save them tax. So I had to use atm which cost me extra money.

Comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast and dinner and amazing views from the roof terrace. Mariam on reception was really helpful despite being brand new in the job.

Liked having a balcony, bedside lamps, ample closet/shelf space. Very nice rooftop terrace with table and chairs and a great view of the Caucasus. Good shower. Staff helped arrange driver for outings. Very good and hearty breakfast with pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, bread with several fruit jams, chese, and fresh fruit. No kettle in the room but the cook let us take one up to use during our stay. Central location was ideal for walking to restaurants and shops.

Would be good to have a fan as there is no AC.

Location was great. I had end unit so I got some breeze from open window. Garden is pretty. In the breakfast room, they played a very nice video of Georgia. Breakfast was abundant and pretty good. The property is clean and they did accommodate our request for the first floor. The woman in the dining room was very kind and very nice. I also was able to access the kitchen and make tea that I had brought with me anytime I wanted it. The kitchen was never locked

The rooms are small. The check-in was not good. We called and got no answer even though we told them we were on our way and gave them an approximate time. We were about 30 minutes late. No one was at the desk and it took us an hour to reach someone. They own the Panorama restaurant so we went there to try to find a telephone number that someone would actually answer. We were told to go back to the front desk. He apologized and said he was on route from Tbilisi. Towels are very thin and Scratchy. Pancakes are always served cold. There is no TV or AC. No common area for watching TV or meeting other guests. They could easily put TV in breakfast room. We thought the place was overpriced.

Wi-fi is not good for video calls which is typical for Mestia. Consider mobile internet for working.

The host lady is super nice and the room is clean. The place is cozy, feel like you are visiting your grandma. We went down late for breakfast and got a little stare but the host lady still took great care of us. Love her!

- No lift, we brought huge luggage so its a bit of a struggle to bring it to our room but its only 2nd floor so it wasnt bad. - No bell, when we try to check in there was no one at the reception and no contact/notes. No reponse via booking chat or whatsapp. We were waiting for about 10-15 minutes. - Cash only. We choose pay at property understands that they will take card but no.

Anna the house owner is amazing, she was always listening and paying attention to what we need. She even brought us a rain coat without any cost while we were hiking in the rain!
