Hotel Gemeente Huis

Hôtel très cosy, semblable à une chambre d'hôtes

Non

Quaint, well maintained, amazing staff, very clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and the location/ neighborhood was charming. Would recommend to everyone

Nothing-Everything about this property was wonderful

We spent one night at the Gemeente Huis. Pleasant, easy and fast check-in; the room was spacious and comfortable with its en-suite bathroom and a nice terrace. Breakfast was excellent. WiFi was strong. Free car park just across the road; that is an appreciated plus! All in all, a very good experience, pretty much in-line with our expectations.

Great hotel room everything worked well, very helpful staff who let's us store two bicycles in a secure store. Would use again when passing by this area.

The location was ideal, a morning's ride from the Dunkirk ferry. Host very accommodating. Room excellent with small terrace outside. Decent breakfast

Food in the Bistro was a bit basic.

Very Clean- The owner was very accommodating . Breakfast was great too.

Peaceful, in delightful village location. Clean, very well-appointed room on ground floor, with private terrace. Excellent, kind, efficient service from owner. Very well maintained hotel and gardens. We cannot praise it enough.

Terrific service and attention to detail

Nothing really. It is a small property in a quiet location so as long as you are good with that then a brilliant choice.

I like the atmosphere and the room is very comfortable for me.

The check-in time is too long (normally in other hotels at 14.00 or at the latest at 15.00) here is 16.00. And the check-out time is too fast (10.30). Also the time for breakfast is only 1 hour 30 minutes.

This hotel was a real gem - very nice quiet spot in Sint Joris, just outside Nieuwpoort, with a warm welcome from our charming host Gabor. The room and facilities were excellent, spotlessly clean, a nice garden area in which to sit out when the weather dictates it and our breakfast was delicious, cooked by Gabor himself. At the time we stayed there, we were in fact the only guests, but that in no way reflects on the standard or quality of the hotel. It was a Monday evening at a quiet time of the year.

Having stayed here one week before on our journey to the Netherlands, we knew what to expect on our journey back, and the hotel did not disappoint. We received another warm welcome from Gabor, had a lovely room (Room 2) with a nice sitting area in the garden outside and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was again very good (made by Gabor himself) and when my wife was suffering from a stomach problem after we had eaten out the night before, Gabor was quick to brew Camomile tea and bring it to our room. The village itself is very nice and quiet, which suited us beautifully.

Everything was fine. Friendly staff, good breakfast, a room with its own small terrace.

quite far from the nearest restaurants and bars

The whole hotel was exceptional - The Host was first class ,could not to enough to accommodate us . Rooms were spotless and spacious , with optional well stocked mini bar and tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. We can’t wait to plan our next trip to this Friendly establishment . Brilliant !!

The Hosts English was excellent .

Absolutely outstanding hotel. Beautiful rooms. Underfloor heating, garden, excellent TV package, amenities, shower was excellent. A cosy space. Breakfast was lovely. Very helpful owners and parking was so easy. Will definitely be coming back!!

Complementary water not available in rooms - would have been a nice touch.

Amazing quality rooms. very spacious well kitted out.

Superb Breakfast amazing value for money. Owner / manger was a fantastic host ( can’t wait to plan another visit ).

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast is incredible and the area is gorgeous

My room was right next to the dinning area. I was lying in bed when I noticed someone standing just outside my watching me... a bit eery

small terrace, free parking in front of the property. Great nearby lake if you want to ditch your girlfriend the next morning (bring sufficient weight so the body will sink) ?

Too bad Booking.com did not inform us diner on the room was possible. Nearby there is virtually nothing so I madeca diner reservation downtown before getting to the room, where the host asked if we desired in room dining ?

Excellent location, quiet, free parking, very close to the river and the sea to do nature walks or running/cycling. Very nice, friendly owners, serving great breakfasts and dinners in the room. The hotel has only 7 rooms, each room has a private cozy terrace. The owners follow the Covid rules very well - the hotel/room is very clean. Overall, excellent stay. Thank you!

Very good with a variety of options.

Choice of pillows.

Very Clean throughout - Nice and Quiet.

I couldn’t think of anything negative about this hotel.
