The breakfast was delicious and very prompt. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is very central with all amenities on your doorstep

We had a lovely welcome at reception by the owner. She told us everything we needed to know. The bar was very nice and cosy with a fireplace. The room we had was spacious and had everything we needed.

The shower could have been a bit hotter but it was fine.

Very clean, cozy and welcoming. Perfectly located within easy reach of so much that Clonakilty has to offer. Breakfast, and all food we had at the restaurant, is exceptional.

The room was larger than I expected and had a nice view of main street. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was clean and quiet. Conveniently located to walk everywhere in town. My room included breakfast and the food was great, fresh and hot.

A fabulous large apartment room, friendly and helpful staff at check in, excellent breakfast, right in the center of town, safe car park, and good food.

No onsite EV charging, a little expensive but not out of step with others in the area, car park a little hard to find, but these are small quibbles in the overall scheme of a great stay.

The hotel is in a great location, close to local pubs and restaurants in a very walkable and safe area. I was fortunate to be there on Tuesday night, when local musicians gather and play in the lounge. They have a good breakfast and friendly (and helpful) staff. I also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was connected with local history.

Quaint historic hotel with a Library and books in every nook in hallways and the rooms. Coffee and tea with snacks in the room...free breakfast every morning in the dining room. Shout out to Robin and Maria who were always helpful and friendly! Loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

no car park to leave the car after 11am,, while i walked around clonakilty

Second time staying here. Amazing staff. Authentic property with great recommendations. Truly Irish experience. Comfy beds. Traditional decor. Can’t wait to come back again and again.!

Nice big room, very comfortable with air con. Bathroom was spacious and option of a bath.

BREAKFAST FOR ME AS A COELIAC WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT (EVEN THOUGH I HAD GIVEN ADVANCE NOTICE ON THIS).ESPECIALLY AS I WAS IN CLONAKILTY I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO GLUTEN FREE SAUSAGES & PUDDING ON THE MENU, SO I HAD 2 X FRIED EGGS & BACON WITH GF BREAD. I DIDN'T SEE ANY GF CEREAL, LUCKILY I HAD BROUGHT MY OWN!MY HUSBAND ENJOYED HIS FULL IRISH.

We stayed here so my dad visiting from the US could have a trad night in Clonakilty with great live music nearby. I’ve stayed in Clon multiple times before but this was the best. Has the “old charm” feeling for an Irish hotel. Pub, restaurant, beer garden, lovely staff who is all family run. Beautiful breakfast. My dad said it was his favorite part of his week long vacation. Already have another stay here booked for August!

I loved how big the room was! The staff was so friendly and I loved it was still family run. What they have going on here is tradition in its finest form. I can’t wait to come back!! Price point very nice and affordable too!

This is my favorite hotel and my 2nd time in 2 years returning here! The staff is the best and the area is safe and fun to walk around. Lots of pubs with food and live music. Tom and the staff at O'Donovan's are the best!! On a side note, I needed a Dr and visited Dr. Maloney down the street, and he helped me out. They provide water and coffee/tea in the room. The pub downstairs has food/drinks and music on some nights. The free breakfast is huge and so nice they offer all that food for free. The waitress can take requests as well if you want something special. I love O' Donovan's and the people are so friendly and kind!
