    Cons -

    • Menu on website didn't match the menu in the restaurant. • Little hard to find. GPS to their published address took us to the residential subdivision a block away. Staff seemed like a skeleton crew, only saw maybe 3 or 4 other guests. Dining room was empty except for us.

Interior common rooms were beautiful and comfortable for just sitting or reading. Breakfast was excellent with a large continental buffet or several cooked options.

In the evening we noticed the ceiling and upper walls of our room were covered in cobwebs. The evening desk attendant had to find a four foot long dust wand to collect the cobwebs. The noise outside our room window was very bothersome. Maintenance workers decided to clean up brush and leaves around some mechanical unit near our window at 1:30 in the morning while caring on a lengthy conversation. Much noise outsidethat window every night. It was just a bad room. I think rooms 202 and 204 must be the booking.com rooms. I think anywhere else would have been just fine..

    Excellent breakfast and beautiful facilities.

Staff was accommodating but not really friendly.

Love the location, easy access to Powerscourt Estate, short drive to Johnnie Fox’s. On-site parking was very convenient, grounds were very pretty, comfy beds, a la Cart breakfast menu with ample selection.

Power outlets were only available on the wall opposite the bed which makes for a challenge using a CPAP machine.

Nice hotel, surroundings are beautiful. Good.beds. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Tucked away in the forest... quiet surroundings. Nice bar, lobby, outdoor space. Tiny Village nearby is quaint & nice.pubs & the Enniskerry Inn was.nice.to hang out.

The room needs a little attention.....no shower curtain, hot shower water was not consistent. Our room was missing bedsheets.

Rooms was big but a little tatty in places could do with a little updating. Bed was comfortable.

Tatty room, stained carpet, stained walls, could do with a refresh.

The town of Enniskerry is sooo cute, lots of great trails nearby for walking, and right across from powerscourt. The house was soooo cute and charming and the staff all so nice. Our stay was very comfortable.

Our room was a bit musty. There was no air conditioning and we could open the windows but it didn’t have a screen so bugs would get in sometimes. But there was a bit of a musty smell in our room that I wish had not been there. Also, I wish there were more easy public transportation options to other areas inside Wicklow, but I know that’s not up to the hotel. Maybe a shuttle to the park entrance could be considered in the future?

Location, old style building and surrounding areas

I wish they could add air conditioning, however, the building is build long before AC so, it’s understandable

    It was a decent location

The first room we were put in had bugs in the bathroom. Each morning at breakfast we found the cups and cutlery dirty. We mentioned this but it didn’t really improve. The forks when used to cut Brie cheese left dark stains on the cheese. The older part of the hotel (rm 507) had dirty carpets and old bathrooms that could use renovating.

Very quiet and serene setting. Beautiful home with style

No plugs near the bed to charge phone/laptop. No plug in the bathroom for hairdryerNo place at all to put toiletries in bathroom. Surface around sink totally inadequate. Need a cabinet of sorts.Low pressure in the shower. No place in the shower to place shampoo/conditioner/soap containers.Lack of second rack to put suitcase. These days couples travel with a suitcase each. The room/bathroom have not been equipped to be practical.

Exceptional breakfast. Sumptuous. Hotel is basically a high tone event venue of modest scale. Foreign staff was accommodating.

Lacked warmth and character... but that was in the character of the hotel... not a cozy place to warm your feet but to celebrate someone's marriage... appropriate for the occasion.

We were grateful for the restaurant on location. It was very convenient as we arrived late one evening after not liking the Airbnb we had rented. Being able to have dinner and breakfast on location helped eliminate some extra decision making. Which was much appreciated. Our server the night we arrived (I think her name was Jane.), was excellent. She was very attentive and welcoming. Which we also appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay at Summerhill House Hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was peaceful and beautiful. Breakfast was tasty, and the hotel is close to Powerscourt.

The Dinner and breakfast where very good. The room was spacious and very clean.

The pillows were very hard for our liking and if you are walking into Enniskerry from the hotel be prepared for the hill coming back. The bar didn't open until 6pm.

Nice little hotel in Co Wicklow. No problems, good rooms and friendly staff.

We booked this hotel because the pictures showed a spa... so we expected a spa. When we arrived we were told it was a separate company and to contact the spa company directly. They said we could only use the sauna if you had booked a treatment package. We felt this mis-represented the offering as this wasn't explicit before booking.

The room was quiet and the bed was so comfy! Breakfast was very good and they were accommodating with finding alternative vegetarian options. I loved the spacious common areas to sit in and chat or (in my case) catch up with some work. The country house felt like something in a 1920s novel — slightly eccentric but very charming. I can’t wait to come again!

I am being a bit nitpicky here but the room was ever so slightly run down. E.g the plastic shower mat had mould underneath and the curtain rod fell on my head when I drew the curtain. But, honestly, there was nothing major that marred the visit!
