Slow service in lounge.
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and dinner, Great location close to town and excellent leisure club on site.
Nothing not to like.
It's more of a resort facility so it had plenty of parking and though we did not use the fitness center it looked substantial. It was a 10 min walk to Arklow town but the hotel had a large bar and restaurant that were open later. We played The European Club and that was a short drive on the same road as hotel.
Though my 3rd floor room was quiet, it was warm night and opening the windows was needed for air, however my room was right over a greenhouse? room that had it's lights on all night so I could not open curtains. I'd ask not to be near this when you book.
Good location, nice grounds, good access to a footpath and beach. Excellent choices at breakfast. Friendly & helpful staff. Plenty of choices for lunch / dinner. Plenty of storage space in room for clothes.Water fountain on each floor and a bottle in your room so you could collect water to have in your room.
Standard room felt it could do with an updateWe stayed durning an unusually hot period and although the main parts of the hotel had air con the bedrooms did not.
The property was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional as well as customer service.
Our only complaint was how small the room was. We really had no place to put our luggage.
Staff - receptionist, bar waiting and leisure centre staff were highly professional and very helpful Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional, breakfast was very goodLeisure centre was an added bonus and included in the room price
Lovely warm entrance foyer. Comfortable warm room. Great shower! Good evening meal and breakfast. Pleasant staff.
The service at the bar on arrival was not good. The bar person was inattentive and sadly lacking in any form of communication or banter. This was the only disappointing aspect of the stay. I brought it to the attention of management who said they would 'look out' for me later. There was no follow-up.
It was well set out and all the facilities were handy.
Unfortunately at 1pm the room next to ours started being rowdy and loud. This continued until 4 am. Very little sleep spoiled our stay.
Great staff great breakfast
Didn't realise pool was not attached to hotel
i would book a twin room in future just for a little more space
only thing was very artistic huge chips the size of telegraph poles. Sorry - everything else was wonderful.
Breakfast was lovely. Everything you could want. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable. Location was fantastic. Lovely walks all around.
The only negative was the room was a little on the small side and very dark.
Very happy with our stay, just for one night so didn't get to experience everything on offer. But the room was lovely with great views (bathroom a bit of a tight squeeze, and a bit dated but nothing major). Had dinner in the bar which was lovely and great value. Breakfast was nice. The staff are absolutely super - so pleasant and helpful. They're a credit to your hotel.
Hotel is in a lovely location, we enjoyed the walk down to the water. Breakfast choice was very good. Dinner was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.
Complimentary bottled water in our room would have been nice for a 4 star hotel. Our shower tray was leaking so we had a pool of water on the tiny bathroom floor, shaving socket didn't work either.
Food was excellent, hotel was clean. Beds every comfortable
Overflow area was very very cold. Some staff we lovely and accommodating, some were rude. One actually ignored my friend and she waited to be served at the coffee area on the day we were leaving
The stay is always pleasant, I frequently use this hotel
I was surprised to get not 1 but 2 noise complaints while I was in the room alone trying to get some sleep for the drive home next day, they obviously got the room number wrong , but twice I was woken up with this .
Ok
Couldn’t sit in the bar as all the tables were booked out. This left no option but out in the reception area.. I feel u should be able to go to a hotel and sit in the bar and have a drink without having to make a reservation.
Lovely staff to greet us and tell us all about the hotel and its amenities, we went to a show which was amazing, beds were so comfy , room was nice and warm too .. we had breakfast room service which was great, only €4 pp extra, breakfast was sufficient but not 5star sausages or puddings.. but I’m a chef so I always have something to say about food.
Only only issue was the toilet didn’t flush, I told the guy on the way out he was very apologetic. It worked for first flush but not after that..
Breakfast was lovely, everything else average for the price.
Dinner was overpriced and ok but no more. Some regular bingo booze night meant the place was particularly noisy with many drunken young people about. Complex overall is quite dated and seen better days for a 4 star. View from window was a gutter system with discarded cigarettes, tissues etc... really not one bit slightly. Rooms were quite cold on arrival (4:30 pm) with heaters off and no apparent way to turn it on.
I loved that we had access to a great leisure centre with a gym, pool and sauna. Great view from the room over the sea. All clean and very comfortable.
The TVs might need a bit of an update as it's a bit small for watching while sitting in the bed.
