    Pros +

    • Food and surroundings
    • Beautiful tranquil location , with great food and super staff
    • The grounds are lovely and soothing. We were upgraded to a junior suite. It was spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding and quite generous. The Michelin star restaurant on site gave us a once in a lifetime meal. We were blown away. The service at the Inn on all fronts was top notch.

    Cons -

    • Feeling a little dated in parts are room was a little run down .
    • We were a little disappointed with the breakfast. Had expected it to be much better than it was.
    • Half of the saunas were closed, and others were not hot enough.

Our meal in the Italian was really lovely. Staff were excellent. Whole ambiance of the place is wonderful, a real treasure. Will be back.

We were a little disappointed with the breakfast. Had expected it to be much better than it was.

A lot of green space and beautiful gardens. The food was amazing.

Half of the saunas were closed, and others were not hot enough.

Lovely stay our third time here in less than 2 years and it was as fab as ever. We got the added bonus of a room upgrade which was a nice surprise! Gorgeous stay and delicious meal in The Strawberry Tree restaurant

Not a complaint really but because everything is cashless nowadays and we chose to just charge everything to our room there werent many opportunities to tip their wonderful staff. It would be a recommendation to invest in Strikepay or TipJar apps to allow guests to tip staff digitally

Great one-night stay with small family. Great first impression with very friendly and attentive staff at check in. Beautiful grounds, bedroom, pool and restaurants. Would highly recommend

Beautiful premesis. Very Cosy and quaint. Extensive grounds with lots to do. Rooms were massive - great traditional style decor. Excellent facilities - pool and sauna were great. Fluffy towels and bathrobe provided - sadly, the bathrobes were one size and didn't really fit us. Delicious breakfast - great staff.

    The location, staff and food.

The tea, coffee provision in the bedrooms is basic and does not reflect the quality of the rest of the hotel.

Excellent location in countryside but rather isolated. Excellent bar/food abc gourmet restaurant.

    Spacious rooms.

We stayed with our children, 8 and 11 in the rooms adjacent to the thermal pool. We had a fantastic stay. Facilities are excellent and we had a great meal in the Italian restaurant. The best thing, however, was the staff who were excellent. We will be back

    Nothing. All was great

From the moment we checked in at around 6 PM on Friday until we checked out at 1 PM on Sunday, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by every single staff member at this wonderful hotel. The location is truly special—so eco-friendly, surrounded by rivers, ancient bridges, and nestled within the mountains. The atmosphere is upscale, yet refreshingly unpretentious. While the clientele is quite high-class, there’s absolutely no judgment about dress code. Whether you're in Converse and a hoodie or dressed to the nines, you feel completely at ease. I loved the freedom of just being myself without any pressure to dress up.

Bed. I would like to hope you will go for more up-class linen and pillows. For the first time I've experienced not a luxury sleep. You can do better!

Setting, outdoor jacuzzi, the variety of places to eat and drink was great. Residency bar had lovely food and the pizzaria was great. The pub was really nice also. Very helpful staff everywhere and very nice rooms overlooking river.

Was a little disappointed by the meal in the strawberry restaurant. Beautiful room and wine and service but the mains were a little more quantity over quality. The mix was strange for me in terms of flavour. Perhaps personal preference though. The spa had no sliders to offer which was a shame considering how slippy it was but when the renovations are finished, it will be great.

Nice enough bedroom and good room clean

    Dated spa and restaurant

We ate in the Strawberry Tree restaurant which was exceptional. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We booked to stay again before we checked out. We slept with the window open listening to the river, it was bliss.

    There was nothing

    10KarenPosted on: 2-28-2025

Loved the whole experience from the location, to fabulous comfy bedroom and food to die for. Staff could not have been more helpful too.

    4SiobhanPosted on: 2-28-2025

Loved the location. Loved the breakfast. Staff excellent.

We were not staying in the main part of the hotel. The Italian restaurant wasn’t open. The jacuzzi in the Spa wasn’t in use. All of the above should have been emailed to me before hand.

We love the setting and the comfortable atmosphere in Brooklodge.

We booked a stay in Brooklodge Hotel after we had a fabulous stay in the hotel just before Christmas. We were allocated a room in Brook Hall. The weather was atrocious on the night and luckily enough we brought a brolly (brand new). We went to the Italian restaurant for dinner and were asked to leave the brolly at the door. When we went to leave the restaurant our brolly was gone and we offered a personal fold up brolly which was unacceptable. Heard nothing from Brooklodge since. We were very disappointed with our stay.
