Pros +
- The location and views from some rooms. Nice bar and bar menu
- Great bar and restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next day. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Modern bathroom with large, thick bath towels and a hairdryer in the cupboard. Very helpful young lady on reception. We asked her if they possibly had a power adaptor, so that we could charge our phones etc. she even had one which was Australian to British when we thought we would need to piggy-back our Australian to European plug and their European plug into the wall.
- Welcome, service, location, room comfort, food. They immediately moved me when I noticed the first room smelt of smoke.
Cons -
- Some things in rooms need updating
- Maybe have a small fridge in your room?

Beautiful setting with lush surroundings. We were able to entertain some visiting family members in a quiet secluded lounge area, with staff ever attentive. Room and facilities were excellent. Lovely breakfast.

Very large and comfortable room, lovely area, nice bar
Breakfast could have been better, the breakfast area seemed understaffed when I was there.
Beautiful location, lovely staff and a clean, comfortable room. Good parking. Great breakfast.
There was only dining in the bar that night.
It was a very nice place with beautiful nature and more historical places. The hotel was comfy and tidy, the people were kind.
The room had a very unfortunate place. It was above the bar, so I was lucky to listen every night till 2 am drunken Irish men singing variable local songs but later on they tried with some international hits. :) At the end they were singing "we are the world..." evergreen and above the people in the room felt "we are the zombees..."
Lovely staff. Friday night music good. Food lovely
There was a humming noise intermittently during the night. Found it hard to get to sleep
Charm and authenticity intact. The young man who served us for our meal was great. Mum and Dads room 108 was lovely. Breakfast was good
My room was not great 109 - Parnell - the singer was on and it was like she was in the room with me. For once I was getting to bed early !!! Also the smell of stale smoke was not agréable - I had to open the window wide.
Well situated near Avoca (Ballykissangel) and Glendalough. Breakfast excellent. Dinner good. Really need a car to take advantage of the area. Glendalough close by and meeting of the waters. Oldest weaving mill in Avoca.
Lovely room, breakfasts and dinners were excellent, all the staff very professional. Plentiful private parking. Ideal location to Arklow, and the village of Avoca
Nothing !!!!everything was good
Lovely hotelPrivate parking Good service from professional staff Comfortable room.
Food excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Restaurant was busy on our dinner night but staff were friendly and service good despite the rush
Rooms are tired but generally clean, had to wind the heating up to 24 deg to get the radiators to come on. Also we found a sewing needle on the carpet, handed it to a cleaner who made no comment except she "was new here"
Excellent staff, reception; bar and waiting on, Rory was so lovely.Great value- food was lovely We thoroughly enjoyed it
The location is beautiful.
The bathroom could look a lot better. Bin hadn't been changed since last guest.
The Property was well appointed fresh and clean. The check in and out were easy. The staff kind helpful and ready to go out of their way to help. The property has such a beautiful history she sits on the hill with a majestic presence. The location is beautiful and I would recommend her if you want somewhere to relax and be comfortable.
