Relais Metelli

We stayed at Relais Metelli for two nights in the deluxe double room while attending a friend’s wedding and had a lovely experience. The hotel is clean, stylish, and very well maintained. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings and found the selection to be modest but satisfying — fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, toast, and preserves. Hot options like scrambled eggs were available at an additional cost. The staff were attentive and kind, checking in to make sure our coffee orders were correct and even preparing a tray of small sandwiches for us as requested before we headed to the wedding.The location is good — just a short walk to Foligno’s main square with shops and restaurants, and only a minute from the main train station, making it very convenient for travel.

One small point to note — we found that taxis in Foligno tend to charge quite high fares. It might be worth the hotel considering offering their own shuttle or transport service for guests in the future, which could be a great added convenience.

Unlike so many places to stay in this part of the world, Relais Metelli’s bed, its plush towels, its full sized mirror so one can see oneself fully dressed; its elevator access and spacious delightfully decorated common areas, as well as a delightful front garden oasis, exceeded expectations. Situated minutes away from the shops and numerous noteworthy restaurants and minutes away from Foligno’s train station, made this a real find. Bravo to Francesco, Marcia, Sara and Ricardo for the attention to every detail after the warmest of welcomes. Gracie mille and we hope to return.

Staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is very much clean and my room is comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel is extremely good.

We loved how kind the staff were. The room was comfortable and clean. Location was ideal- very close to the train station and city center. We would definitely stay here again!

The area is beautiful. Filled with tree lined streets and easily accessible to shops and restaurants.

Property is new, nicely kept and very close to the station and to downtown with it's own parking lot.Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable there.

We had the room with the balcony and it was amazing. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The property is close to what ever you need to do.

The service was excellent and the staff did everything to make the stay the best.The hotel is in a great location only five minutes walk from the train station and maybe just a bit longer to the centre of Feligno. Great.

Breakfast was good but savoury selection was very limited compared to sweets; while rooms were technologically advanced and fashionable I’d have appreciated an extra socket for the mobile close to the bed :)

Staff truly welcoming, although I must have looked out of place in my hiker's outfit. Great location, unusually early check-out no problem once communicated to staff the evening before. Broken or non-existant Italian on the traveller's part no problem (though non-existant Italan _and_ English might actuallly be...).

High-tech and style (electronic blinds and light switches as unified system) can be overdone and come close to actually being a hindrance to feeling at ease in a room. For me, this was the case, for style-afficionados it might not be.

Francesco (spelling?) was very helpful and accommodating. Give him a raise!

The common space was elegant but not comfortable. It would have been nice to have a space outside of my room to relax and talk to our traveling companions.

Absolutely beautiful, amazing staff. Excellent location, steps from the train and just a few minutes to walk to town.

Everything was perfect. The only problem I had was the temperature in the room. My room was GORGEOUS. It was one of the front rooms. I am sensitive to noise, and the scooters/motorbikes going by all day and night were extremely loud. We couldn't keep our windows open because of that. The hotel operates the air conditioning and heat in a winter mode and a sumner mode for the entire hotel. It was very hot and stuffy in the room with the windows closed and they were in winter mode so the only air we could get was heat. =( It would have been incredible to have had a ceiling fan in the room. Even a small table top fan would have been helpful. To make this hotel perfect, all that is needed is individual temp control for each room. Wall units would help. There was a room available in the back of the hotel that they offered us but it wasn't as pretty as ours and the scooters are so loud I can't imagine it would have made a difference if we moved.

Staff member who checked me in, out and served breakfast was lovely! He explained restaurants in the area to me and was very friendly.

No international adapter or USB plugs. No sauna, steam room etc.
