    Pros +

    • Location was good and hotel was charming.
    • Superb location, in a quiet pedestrianised square with plenty of restaurants very close by. Lovely small roof terrace and pool. We had the only room with a private terrace - incredible views!
    • Very charming and atmospheric hotel in fabulous location. Excellent spa facilities which were reasonably priced and a great experience. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice room. Breakfast facilities are a bit limited (no hot food choices) however this more than made up for by the amazing views over the plaza to the Alcazaba and Fortress as you eat.

    Cons -

    • The black mold on the ceiling of the shower area.
    • Our room was huge but lacked any storage space, a tiny wardrobe and no drawers so clothes had to stay in our suitcase. Several power sockets didn’t work either.
    • The room set up, loo not with shower and sink in bedroom. Had to be very comfortable who you stayed with.Room lacked any privacy.

Great location, massive room. Lovely shower and complementary l’occetaine products. Very comfy bed.

    Nothing, we enjoyed our stay.

Location excellent in historic part of city. Spa is beautifully done

Strange system with spa entry. Things not explained. Staff get ratty if you get it wrong!Breakfast ok. Anonymous.

Great location, staff not very enthusiatic.

The bathroom design is a total failure. No privacy and not practical...No reading lights.

This was a wonderful hotel. We had an upgrade to a Junior Suite (I think because we were staying two nights and, on the second, they were really full with a visit from a company with lots of colleagues to accommodate). The huge room had lovely windows overlooking the square and with views beyond to the castle and walls on the hills. The building is a lovely old place and has been expensively restored. So much nicer than plastic modern hotels. The wifi was good which allowed us to listen to Radio Caroline and check emails while in the room. The breakfast was great and we loved the rooftop setting. A shame it was raining both mornings so we could not eat on the outside tables. The breakfast food was very good and ample. The check in staff were very friendly as was the breakfast lady. I did like the private door to exit/enter thus avoiding busy periods in reception. The location is great and the square is quiet.

Our Junior Suite could have benefited from a small sofa - there was ample spare room for one - but as it was a free upgrade for us I am not complaining but I might if I had paid!

Location. Beautiful view from my room.

The en-suite bathroom was lovely but completely impractical. The odd shaped sink was a free standing 2 feet (.6 meter) deep trough. There was no way to shave as the mirror was off to the side and not behind the sink. The room was enormous but it only had one small uncomfortable chair. There was only one small bedside lamp on one side; otherwise the overall lighting was very bright. The hallways were extremely dark and the room numbers were black on black.

It’s in the square near a lot of restaurants

It’s just not good enough. I saw 4 rooms in total, and all of inconsistent quality. Some absolutely disgusting and 2 really quite nice. Check in was hard, and staff not that helpful. Wouldn’t recommend it. Also, breakfast was as good as outside in December so needed coats and blankets

well located, great baths, great rooftop for breakfast and heated swimming pool

the staff at the entrance of the baths made the initial experience feel a bit rushed. If you have a car, parking is nearby but it costs 18 euros a night which we didn’t know.

The location was good, and the roof top pool, albeit it very small was a nice place to sit and relax.

The first room we were given was tiny, and the shower was mouldy, and the wardrobe had 4 coat hangers and about 12 inches wide. The second room was bigger, but the hairdryer had wires exposed, so not safe, we lacked a coffee machine/kettle and only had one glass. The hotel breakfast was OK, but you needed a coat and scarf on as it was served in such a cold place. No bar or nice place to sit inside.

All the staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. The bed was super comfy and breakfast was great. The view from the terrace whilst eating breakfast was a one of the highlights. We also booked in at the spa and I would highly recommend that to anyone who is planning a stay. Oh and an extra added bonus is that the roof top pool is heated all year round so when the sun is shining you (which it usually is) you can have a dip even in winter.

The room we had was super comfy but some furniture etc were perhaps starting to look a little tired. That’s a small thing though given the price and everything else that comes with staying at this hotel!

The shower was gorgeous and the room lovely. The rooftop pool and breakfast room were stunning with a fantastic breakfast. The Spa is amazing. Location is great very central and at the base of the castle.

The Ancient Baths and massage are a wonderful experience. Fully recommended.Breakfast on the roof top is good with wonderful views.

Our room was not up to standard and missing items mentioned when we booked. We have stayed there before a few years ago and everything was wonderful. However, the ground floor room we were given this time was missing a kettle, plus tea and coffee making facilities. Also, the air-conditioning would not change to cool. We needed to sleep with the window open! The shower only worked on the hand held lower one, not the overhead one, and the automatic bidet did not work at all. We reported all these things to the receptionist but absolutely nothing was done about any of it. I had to buy a travel kettle and they graciously provided us with two mugs! The attitude at reception was not good and not at all helpful. Sadly, because of this, we will never stay at the Aire Hotel again. We offered no compensation and no alternative room despite being there for 3 nights.

Located right in the plaza there were several food and beverage option within walking distance. Our room was very spacious and our bed was very comfortable.

Parking is beyond challenging in the area. The hotel does offer a discount at a local car park but navigating the process of the paid parking voucher from the hotel proved to be more challenging than we expected.

Location of hotel is the best, place is great with nice receptionist , I liked my room with tiny balcony looking on internal square , breakfast with wiew on main alcazaba on the top of city

No bar inside but the bars are all around

Great location in a lovely square with the bonus of the ancient baths which we enjoyed plus had a massage. The hotel kindly left cava and chocolates in the room as it was my birthday

Oddly the two washbasins were in the room behind the bed head; not great for shaving as there was no mirror in front of them. The toilet and shower were in a separate room with a clear glass door which was most unnecessary as somethings should remain private!
