Landgasthof Scheubel

I stayed here several times over the last few years with my little dog and family. The hotel is fine, located nearby the highway, with a good parking, nice breakfast, and plenty of space to walk my dog in the nearby fields. That's all I need on my way across Europe. Staff is helpful, room relatively basic, but reasonable value for money. I would (will) happily stay here again.

The room's window faces the busy street right in front of the hotel. If you open the blind and the window, it's almost impossible to sleep, it's very loud. There's not much to be done abut it, but it affects the stay. Since my stays are just useful one night stay-overs, this is no problem - as far as the temperature in the room is not too high.

Close to the A3 motorway

There were stairs up to the reception desk to check in and out, also to get into the restaurant where the breakfast was served. Not suitable for disabled guests or anyone in a wheelchair. The entrance door and other doors were extremely heavy to open. The lift to the upper floor was tiny and a wheelchair would not fit in it. there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom. The check out took ages because I was being charged more than the price given on booking.com, the computer couldn’t seem to cope with changes, and I felt like I was being interrogated by a woman on the other end of the phone, eventually the booking.com price was honoured.

2 km from the motorway. Diner and breakfast were good as always. I will come back as the hotel is very convenient for my trips.

This time I had a loft room with a very small bathroom.

Wonderful place to stay, just off the the motorway. This was the second time we stayed here. Perfect half way stage on our journey. Good breakfast buffet with a wide selection of items. Friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was very clean, the food was delicious and the staff were polite.

Not too much…it would be nice to have tissues in the bathroom and the breakfast coffee could be a bit stronger (but that’s personal taste of course :-) )

A very nice hotel. The room was very big and beautiful. The plumbing very nice. The breakfast was fine.

The location is a little less, on a through road. But that does not bother you, because the room was not at the front.

Good selection at breakfast - cheeses, meats, pretzels, rolls, bread. Cakes that were offered were not as appealing on their second day. One server was friendly, other staff, including owners, were not as friendly as welcoming as they were at other hotels we stayed. Good selection of teas at breakfast, could be more fresh water available. The rooms we booked had A/C, which was much needed during our stay. Not all rooms had it. Close to the Autobahn and central for a visit to that part of Bavaria.

Bathroom and shower in the bathroom were tiny. It was hard to close the shower doors, and hard to move around in the shower. Lighting in the bathroom was not very flattering. Some bathrooms are probably bigger, so you should pay attention to the room category when you are booking.

Business as usual. Usual stop on way back from Austria. Excellent location food and beer.

Very nice gasthof, good beds (pillow was bad) and all was clean. Lunch, dinner and breakfast are good. Also good prices.

Only one thing, we had a room for 3 people. One bed was a sofa-bed. There was some dust on top of the sofa.

We stopped here to break a very long car journey. Location is great, very close to A3 with plenty of free parking.Lovely, friendly staff at reception.

I was disappointed on a check out day. There were 3 different occasions of staff (I assume cleaners) knocking on our door, entering the room and being surprised to see us. This was between 8 -10am, check out time is 11am. The time between knocking and opening a room was about 5 seconds max. Once they did not even knock, just barged in... I have not raised this with the reception as, frankly, each time I thought they will not come back until we check out...and then we did :) Gluten-free bread for breakfast is really just crackers, not a real bread. Breakfast is nice overall though.

The location is near the church with big bells every half hour. There is no airco and normal curtains. Also the pillows are terrably

Convenient location between Bamberg and Rothenburg on der Tauber. Peaceful outdoor seating at the restaurant. Friendly Staff. Our room had a balcony and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony after a long day of site-seeing.

No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom which is a minor complaint.

Generous room size, even bigger than necessary. Modern bathroom and cozy restaurant. Tasty and rich breakfast, variety of food to chose from.

Location is perfect while traveling to Austria to make a stop. Staff is very friendly we were late kitchen was almost closing however they still served dinner which was really nice. Rooms are very nice!
