Pros +
- - Baths/spa is a nice amenity to be able to tale advantage of.- Very well situated, 5-20 minute walk to all major sights in the city.- Beautiful property, with plenty of lounging space and quiet corners to relax and take everything in.- Staff is very friendly and accommodating, paid exceptional attention to us.
- The Hotel itself is a very lovely and quite zen refurbishment of an old palace. But what is most outstanding there is the lovely internal garden with a modest but very nice swimming pool and a good size area for lounging beside it, either in the sun or the large beautifully shaded areas. The Roman baths are a fun little extra.
- Beautiful location. Pool area is lovely.
Cons -
- The bed was very uncomfortable
- - Slight hiccup when checking in where the room wasn’t ready for almost 45 mins past the posted check in time.- Disclaimer that the spa baths area is quite small with limited space to change or hang out.
- I thought the breakfast was quite modest for the large cost of it.

Beautiful location. Pool area is lovely.
We were given the worst room in the hotel. At 450 euros a night and booking our room in February, I hardly think we deserved to be put in a room with no view, by the elevator and right above the kitchen. Very disappointed with Booking.com that after booking many reservations with this company.we received such a poor room location.
Charming and unique experience just minutes from main sights. Facilities were great - pool, food and staff.
Room was facing street so quite a bit of noise from main road as it does seem a busy street corner. That’s only complaint
Everything! The property was stunning, staff was over the top nice, location excellent, and food delicious!
Nothing!
Location, design, good service, nice spa, common area.
I think the restaurant where breakfast and dinner was served could be more up to 5 star standard.
The hotel is has a lovely layout. Our room was a junior suite off the main courtyard. The garden surrounding the pool is an oasis in the city. Service was excellent.
Food was excellent and the Roman remains were interesting.
Our room was rather inaccessible
Beautiful hotelThe valet service was excellent Big thank you to Fran who took care of our car and bags
Beautiful building in a very convenient location.Comfortable room and very nice breakfasts.Excellent welcome and check in on arrival.Underground baths are a bit of fun.
The service and food for dinner in the restaurant was well below expectations given the Michelin name-dropping and by comparison to our experience of the Hospes restaurant in Salamanca.
Exceptional - old palace with Roman ruins visible beneath glass whole of breakfast dining room. Roman baths 3 temperature pools indoors, hour per day .
Nothing to dislike
Fairly central location in an interesting historical building - see through floor in dining room reveals remains of earlier structures.
Bed was a bit hard / uncomfortable. Classes itself as a 5 star (presumably because of the spa facilities) but this is really a perfectly reasonable 4 star.
Beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant, comfortable rooms, great staff, and in a very convenient but peaceful location. Highly recommended
Staff incredibly helpful and made great dinner bookings and bookings for events - fantastic !
The only complaint was that the bar service was awful - no one at the bar all the time - never went there without waiting quite some time for service . Otherwise hotel 10 out of 10 !!
A beautiful facility in a old palace with 1st century villa underground. Staff extremely friendly and helpful
Friendly staff. Excellent service. Fabulous food. Breakfast service was wonderful.Roman baths were great. The scent of the flowers in the garden were intoxicating....
The shower leaked and flooded the bathroom. Was unpleasant and messy. I'm not sure if the room should be used until fixed. Which makes me wonder why we were put in there.
StunningFelt like royalty Beautiful setting and beautiful gardens and underground spa
Beautiful hotel in great location. All the staff were very friendly and wanted to help.
Location friendly staff good food facilities.
Iron and ironing board in room or available on request to be able to press clothes if late arrival.
