Pros +
- Fabulous location, close enough to town to wander, but far away enough to feel private. The chalet feel was very well done, not over the top, just right.
- Everything!! The spa, the breakfast and the distance from the main part of town.
- Beautifully decorated. Understated but chic
Cons -
- Excellent breakfast but quite slow on replenishing things that had run out. The room we had was close to the swimming pool and there seemed to be no parental control over some exceptionally noisy children. I don't mind children having fun, at all, but parents have a duty to see that they're not bothering others too excessively.
- Nothing! This place is so cosy and fabulous!

Location. Staff were first class. Indoor and outdoor pool. Spacious room
Rooms need aircon. Balcony wasn’t big enough and chairs were uncomfortable. Separate toilet from bathroom. Woken by the kitchen staff every morning- room directly above the kitchen. Food was ok but not great - breakfast eggs weren’t hot and bacon was rarely crispy.
Everything was flawless - from the kind, attentive staff to the delicious breakfast and beautiful spa facilities, there is not one negative thing we could possibly say about Fer a Cheval. One of the most wonderful hotels we've ever stayed in. We will be back!
Nothing, it's perfection!
Very friendly and helpful staff. High quality and service level. Excellent location and facilities.
Everything was very well, if we had to make commenta, it are only very little minor things
Location
The hotel is old, consisted of several separate objects, very dark and old furnishing everywhere. The room is so old fashioned that you don’t even have electricity next to the bed to charge your phone. The toilet is separated from the bathroom and so on.. service is really bad but one problem was above all.. all halways and our room was smelling really really bad, more precizely extremely on human sweat from someone from cleaning staff so when they walk through hotel facilities and enter room to cleanx the smell they left behind is so strong that you need to go out immediately or you need to throw out. I was complaining immediately and the reception desk and the manager offered me a drink at the bar so they can parfume the room so of course I refused this, it was quite insulting I must say, especially given that the lady who came to parfume the room I didn’t let come in and she smacked the door being really stressed that she had to come up because I was complaining by phone but I at the end didn’t allow her to mix up chemicals with bad smell from before.. rather opening the balkony since it was closed by them so it looked like a chamber for the night. At the check out rhey didn’t ask anything, no question, no apology, what to say… Also at the pool deck you can find few regular sun beds and the rest is spunge rolled in the white cotton at the decking so that’s where you should lay down and enjoy your 5 star expirience.More litle things can follow but it’s enough, not a 5 star rating for sure.
Amazing stay, great location close to centre, very available and helpful staff, beautiful room, clean, spacious and well furnished. Delicious breakfast. Very pleasant wellness centre. Excellent service overall.
The fitness space is very small with limited material.
excellent facilities with great staff in a good location
Good location within town and very nice amenities. Indoor and outdoor pools an added bonus. Restaurant good quality. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
Wi fi was a little patchy
very nice atmosphere and chalet feel with modern comfort. Great place to stay and very friendly staff.
would be nice to have a complementary water bottle every day in the room (only offered the first night) as well as a water fountain in the wellness area.
Excellent staff beautiful authentic decor proximity to the town
Poor lighting in the bathroom no milk provided in coffee making facilities
The location is perfect for walks and restaurants. We didn’t ski, so I can’t comment on that.
The coffee at breakfast was really not good. Hope you can change the coffee provider and the machine.
fabulous house for New Year's holidays. very nice decoration, pool and spa, rich wine cellar.
the photos on Booking.com were not true. We were not given the room for which I paid money. it was offered to check into this room 2 days after arrival, but even then the hotel employees could not resolve their internal issues.
La Fer a Cheval combines luxury with elegance and a personal touch. The traditional chalet feel is great, service is impeccable and always personal while respecting the client’s privacy. Very well run! Worth mentioning: breakfast is delicious.
Nothing. We came back and will come again.
The breakfast was good. They have the main things.
