Pros +
- Perfect for a family. Excellent location.

- A beautiful old building at the top of the old town. Staff were very helpful and friendly in check-in. Parking was convenient and easy to access from the hotel. We had a very comfortable stay here.
Cons -
- I liked it all
- No privacy curtains on one of the windows so it was very bright at night. Employees were smoking just under our window all the time so we had cigarette smells. Bed was hard and very old.
- Our room was in the back and right next to the laundry room. At 6am we were woken up by the cleaning staff. Additionally our room was about a million degrees with no AC, no fan and the windows could only be cracked. Honestly, it might be considered dangerous our room was so hot. Someone older or with health problems could have died of heat stroke.

Location is perfect. Breakfast was good.

The location was great and the staff were friendly enough. Additionally, the building is very historical and beautiful.

The location was wonderful. Restaurant fabulous. Customer service outstanding.
Shower and some lights were malfunctioning but mentioned it upon leaving, they were unaware and it wasn’t a big deal as there were two shower heads, and other lights.
Disappointed but to be fair, we stayed during an early summer heatwave making stay very miserable. Hotel is nice but read dislike comments below, hotel needs upgrades and better breakfasts for the expensive price.
NO AIR CONDITIONING! Only had a small plugin 10” fan in room to circulate the air! Breakfast was out of the hot food (eggs, bacon, etc…) and never replaced! Said when they were out, they were out! A couple of older ladies came down after us and asked for croissants and told they were all gone! Felt bad for them cuz they were left to pick over the last of food. My husband and I stayed in 11 different hotels over two weeks and this was by far the most expensive and worst breakfast experience. Granted we were there mid June of this year and Germany was having a heatwave but for the price I would have thought the hotel would have had better options to cool the rooms during the summer months. The parking is a few blocks offsite and kinda hard to find the exact lot cuz it’s a pay parking lot you park in and there are no signs to identify you are in the correct place. You are given a parking sign to put in window. Lastly, I always get worried when the staff asks for you give them 5 stars online before you even stay in a hotel.
Room was clean & comfortable, staff was pleasant, helpful. Was nice to feel part of the village. In the evening it was quiet and we had dessert outside, very safe. Breakfast was available at the attached restaurant, plenty of variety. Other restaurants in the area too, Note: We parked our car in a nearby spot to unload, then moved it in a designated parking area up the hill. We liked being in the village because it quieted down at night. We are glad we didn't stay by the water above restaurants where we might have been bothered by the noise and cigarette smoke.
Historical building in great location. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast and had dinner at the restaurant and it was good also.
A little bit noisy in early morning
Location, very friendly staff, great restaurant, parking affordable and near by.
The Hotel was very charming, beautiful and clean. The staff were very kind and friendly. The breakfast was good. The location was perfect it’s close to the restaurants, the museums, Castle and the Lake.
Amazing location, so much character. Breakfast was wonderful. Very clean too.
Beautiful 500 year old building in the very center of a medieval town.Guynat the Front desk was very nice to offer us a free upgrade from basic to comfort room, coz the heating in the latter was better. It was also a bigger room.
A kettle or a coffee machine would be nice to have. Otherwise it is a great hotel. In the town you hardly get any signal from your mobile provider. So if you are in a hotel or a cafe, better ask for a wifi password.
Breakfast was good. The location was good - near the walking streets.
Business trip of 5 days 4 nights . We were well received by the hotel staff, friendly and attentive. First night, first problem... a tick on the bed sheets and another on the bath towel. It was too late to complain and even that there is no one at the reception during the night. The next morning I was in rush and I decided to report the situation when I returned at the end of the day. Second problem, when I return to the hotel late by 23pm the key card of the hotel does not working and I can’t enter in the hotel, however another customer arrives and opens the hotel's front door, but I could not open the door of my room. I go down to the reception to report the situation but had nobody . I call the hotel number but no one answer, I call a number that at great cost found near the doorbell and answers someone who says is very far away and can not go to solve the situation, I ask him his name and immediately he turns off the phone and no longer answers the phone.Already thinking I would sleep in the car I look for a hotel nearby. The hotel next door was sold out but the gentleman from the neighboring hotel, incredibly was who helped me... this mr. that had no obligation to help was who solved the situation, he there found out where was a master key of the room services and with this key opened me the door of my room .In the next morning the lady from the staf hotel solved my key's problem (they programmed the key only for one night instead of 4).
The location was excellent, and the staff very pleasant.
I think the lighting could be improved in the rooms, and the mattresses were not firm. It is an old building so there is no lift, and no coffee services in the rooms. The breakfast area is small and can be very crowded at Peak time.
I liked everything about this hotel. Lovely staff, super location, excellent food. We definitely hope to stay there again.
We received a very friendly welcome on arrival. The hotel is close to shops, bars and restaurants.A very good breakfast was provided.
The views from our room were of the wall of the next door property and the bins of the hotel and other properties. We were woken very early in the morning by the bin lorry outside our room parked for about ten minutes emptying all of the bins and skips. The decor and fittings all appeared rather dated but that could be expected in such an establishment.
Central location with a good restaurant below the accommodation. Friendly staff and large original rooms.
Being central meant it was very loud especially in the morning when delivery drivers arrived at 6am making lots of noise.
Very good location inside the village, perfect distance from the parking facilities and the lake. Spacious room, the restaurant amazing, such a beautiful place. Where you can get a lovely breakfast. The "Breakfast Manager" (don't remember the name, sorry) simply amazing!
Beautiful hotel with spacious, clean room with view of the town. We appreciated the very helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Loved the sights in Meersburg!
