- Room1. After making repeated claims to get the wifi sorted, the staff provided us with a better room in the main building2. Although the staff weren't able to resolve the problem, they made a good effort to find a solution
- - beautiful location- nice and clean place- good staff
- The rooms, the view and the wellness amenities were excellent. The view was absolutely beautiful and the rooms very clean and spacious. The staff was really friendly, too.
Cons -
- Room1. After making a reservation, it didn't show which room we received, so we received a room with not a great view in another building (not shown on booking.com)2. The wifi in the room didn't work. The staff told us to come into the main building to use the wifi there3. There were some small spiders in the room4. The linen had some spotsRestaurant1. The cutlery and tables in the restaurant weren't always properly cleaned2. When we ordered dinner one night, the pizzas was sadly not availableSauna1. Minimal wellness options
- Our bad grading is about the SPA facilities that were not accessible at all times. This was not mentioned in booking.com, policies (i.e from 19 in the evening to the Sunday after, 12:00, no indication). We went there and had no correct chances to enjoy them. We hold this as false advertising or fraud that must be reported. This is not the fault of the kind staff who tried to provide solutions (beside it is not cleaned, or we are responsible in case of..., or providing us a solution late before the checkout). At that price we cannot leave a very positive opinion
- The food was disappointing. It took forever, and the quality was poor. I had a risotto, or rather rice in some broth with some mushrooms in it, and my partner a pizza, which he is convinced was frozen pizza from the supermarket. Breakfast was okay though! So the food definitely needs improving. Also the beds had incontinence bed linen, which made crunchy noises and really made my partner sweat, which we are not a fan of, but other than that the room and the bed was really comfortable.

This small hotel is located on the shore of SchluchsSee ( Lake) ) which offers a nice view and easy acces to the water. The surrounding area is full of outdoor options for sports. It has a nice restaurant and a beautifull terrace, a private parking and a basic Spa area. Rooms are big and clean. Breakfast is OK.
While the main building really faces the lake , the secondary building is facing the parking and some trees. To be avoided....Furniture is basic and kind of obsolete. No spare pillows , no extra blankets , no cosmetics in the bathroom. No real table in the room only small coffee tables. Flat screen TV is small and only a few german channels are accesible. Prices are much over what they offer.
Large spacious bedroom. Amazing bathroom with large shower. Huge patio deck. Wonderful lakeside setting. Ample parking area. Great restaurant facility with outdoor dining deck overlooking the lake. Quiet country setting. Very close to train station.
Signage at the access road off the main highway would make it easier for tourists to find the hotel.
The views , great spa area, steps to go for a swim in the lake , great outdoor seating and balcony. Staff great and helpful. Would recommend
The description on the booking site was totally different to the room we got …. Disappointing It sounded like an apartment in the outside building with kettle , washing machine and fire place . Unfortunately it had none of these . Would be nice to have a kettle and cups for a coffee . Didn’t like the extra charges for a bottle of water in the room . The hotel has a fridge in all rooms but it’s all chargeable even the water . I would stay again but in the main building with a lake view
Location is brilliant and the area like beautiful.Got an upgrade next to reception which was highly appreciated bringing a dog.Restaurant food and wine experience was well balanced between quality and price.
The additional price for a dog is quite steep - €20 - no doubt the highest ever experienced
The Staff at Seehotel Hubertus is young, dynamic and super friendly. The hotel lies directly at the lake, the view is breathtaking.Train station is next to the hotel, which makes it easy to commute to pretty town of Schluchsee.Rooms are a little outdated but comfortable and very clean.
Cosy hotel with great views. The dinner at the restaurant was delicious.
The location is dreamy and the hotel is straight out of a fairy tale. Room was spacious with great view. Staff was so accomodating. Spais very extensive with great facilities. Loved the atmosphere. I wil come back!
Views and staff and room
TooMany stairs
Friendly staff and lovely building
Dock area could be improved
The picture of the terrace says it all. There was also a small beach and a paddle board to rent. It was a very lovely place to stay on a hot summer‘s day.
My daughter (allergic to various things) was sniffling all night in the room. Perhaps the carpet or perhaps a dog had stayed in this (spotlessly clean) room before?
Its location on the Schluchsee was perfect. There's a railroad and road directly beside the hotel but we didn't notice either of them. The view from room 22 and restaurant is lovely. Spending the evenings in the garden on the bank of the lake were wonderful. The waitress in the restaurant was top class (weekend 11./12. Aug).
We do not like carpets in hotel rooms. Otherwise, everything nearly perfect.
Great breakfast, friendly staff, nice facilities, very clean, great location
Wifi was a little spotty
The viewsModern toilets and showersFriendly staff
No tea/coffee station in room,Mattress needs replacing, was uncomfortably soft.Breakfast was a spare, giving the rating of the hotel, have seen better in Germany and in Schluchsee.
room, breakfast and reastaurant all good
Room was spacious. View from terrace of the lake was superb! Restaurant meals were tasty and affordable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was ideal with the Schluch See village nearby as well as many other scenic villages of the Hoch Schwartzwald. The nearby RotHaus Brewery was fascinating!
Access road to hotel was grungy looking but not much can be done about that. Hotel should mention proximity to highway and to train tracks but stress the fact the traffic on the road dies down at night… and the train doesn’t run at night. The brand new windows (which can be opened for fresh air)in the hotel shut out exterior noise! For the price of the hotel some fixtures should be replaced ie. bedroom light fixtures, bathroom trash can. They should be better than what could be purchased at a “dollar store”!
lake view !Quiet surroundings at night
No water kettle and no safe in the room. Some items in the room have already many years of use...
Our 3th stop on the Gipfeltrail with mtb. The view is epic. The Black Wald is impressive! We could drop the bikes in the garage. It is 100 m from the trainstation ( we got free travel tickets from the hotel) what is great if you want to stop the Gipfeltrail or start here. The room was large and comfortabel.
The restaurant was closed! The wellness is disappointing. The staf is young ,but sweet and trying there best. There is no ambiance, the hotel has no warmth, it has lost it's romantic hart. The hotel and the area around the hotel are neglected. Too bad :( you pay for the view, but the epic view is free in the black wald . It is really too expensive for what you (NOT!) get. Even the WiFi is terrible.
