    Pros +

    • Clean, modern and very well decorated hotel. Convenient to the tourist places in Ajaccio, right in the heart of downtown. 2 minute walk to plenty of restuarants, bars and only 1 block from the waterside promennade. Wifi worked well, nice bathroom.
    • The location couldn’t have been better, near old-town restaurants, shops, and central market! And the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, especially Lisa.
    • Beautiful old hotel particuliar in the center of the tourist core yet incredibly quiet (my room was on the courtyard) and secure. Room was modern and enormous by european standards with a very large and comfortable bed and a huge TV with Canal +. Very large bathroom with separate tub and shower. Coffee, shampoo, bar soap and body wash were provided but body lotion and Robe/slippers were available on demand. It would have been a nicer touch had they been present in the room at check-in. The young woman at the desk was efficient and helpful. The room could easily accommodate a couple for an extended stay.

    Cons -

    • Given that this is an historic property, I expected the rooms to have some old-world charm, but they were rather featureless and sterile looking. The other thing that annoyed us was the hidden valet parking fee of 42 euros per day. Neither Booking.com nor the hotel website states this fee up front…and part of the reason we booked this hotel was the promise of free parking. So that was a huge downer.
    • The A/C at maximum was sufficient during the day but I would have liked a cooler room for sleeping.
    • I wish they fixed a shower door on the shower

Location. View form the room. Jacuzzi in the room. Lisa on the front desk. The Breakfast and the Bfast team.

I wish they fixed a shower door on the shower

Fantastic place to stay right in the middle of town, close to city beach and restaurants.Host and staff were fantastic, paying attention to all fine detail, from breakfast to booking restaurants etc etc.Could not recommend highly enough and will certainly return

Central location, just a few steps from Napoleon’s birthplace. The lady in front desk is very helpful, she recommends a good restaurant and tells me the story of the historical building of the hotel. The valet parking is expensive, but convenient.

The room was basic. If there is a fridge in room during the hot day would be much better.

    8StevePosted on: 6-4-2025

The staff was wonderful and made some great recommendations --- food eats, hikes, beaches, etc. Location is good. You can walk anywhere. Easy to valet your car as well. Very central location.

While the central location is good for old town, it can be a pain to get out of out town to explore other parts of the island in a rental car. Be prepared for traffic. Lots of cruise ships. So be prepared for 'flock' of cruisers when they are in port.

    Location clean excellent staff

Nice hotel, friendly staff. For a 4 star hotel there was a lack of slippers and bathrobes in the room, we stayed in a superior deluxe room. Besides this all was fine.

    10JosephPosted on: 2-28-2025

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a very wide choice of quality options. Valet parking was very useful. We were allowed to stay longer than the usual check-out time

Great location, close to everything. very nice staff, a neat old building.

rooms fairly sterile and breakfast very expensive. Plenty of other cheaper rooms in the area.

Firstly the Pozzo di Borgo has an excellent staff. The hotel has an excellent location in the old town across the street from the napoleon Home Museum, restaurants and retail. Our room was a great size and well furnished. Same for the bathroom. Our terrace was a great "extra".Breakfast was also great.

Easier parking for the hotel. The nearest lot was not very far away, but more localized parking would be nice...also a pool.

Staff were amazing very welcoming, very quiet sleep and great location.

Classy place, friendly staff (including their cute dog and cat), perfect location.

    Not much.

Location. Historical building. Breakfast was good but expensive. Night receptionist was very polite and helpful.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed. We were expecting a 4* hotel but this hotel has nothing to offer except for a good location.Part of the staff was pretty rude (we were asking her a question and she interrupted us in the middle of the sentence saying she didn't know anything and repeating it all over again), room was very small with poor furniture, no water heater/coffee/tee, no carpet in the bathroom, no bar, pool or gym.As we were forced to book a hotel after our flight was canceled, we did not realize that the hotel has multiple cats and at least one dog (we could see them coming out of the kitchen and lurking around at the breakfast area). So if you are not a cat lover or are allergic, beware.Oh, and the isolation issue is a big problem. You can hear the elevator activating, doors slamming, people talking at the corridors.

Good location. Nice room, helpful staff

During valet parking our rental car was scratched which we did not notice until we dropped it at airport. They got our car wrong initially and perhaps then rushed.

Lovely lady on reception who appeared at breakfast time too and was always ready for a chat or questions Great position in the old town buzzing with atmosphere, lots of restaurants and the square where you could get the little road train tour or bus tour. Also short walk from the the Ferry terminal and the harbour which was a lively area. More restaurants and bars for choice. The best ice cream shop just opposite the hotel with so many unusual flavours and it’s lovely proprietor.Breakfast pretty good for France but quite busyQuiet despite position of hotel

Away from reception it was very dark, corridors and particularly lift, all black with low level lighting. Always watching where to step getting out of lift till eyes adjust.Never got used to it in 3 days!Room quite stark, dark also, windows high because of roof pitch.Bathroom good size but position of toilet right by the door was bad design, feet stuck out in front of doorway when using.Found bits on the floor not swept from last occupants. No kettle in standard rooms.Don’t bother with the citadel, it was the worst one we visited in Corsica, scruffy and rundown when so much more could be made of it as a tourist attraction. Shame potential not seen as not a lot to do in Ajaccio.Town beach an asset and easy to walk to

Fantastic location and stunning room with a balcony and view. We loved our stay

Staff not super helpful when we had a slightly stressful situation and language challenges with our car rental company

    Location. Style. Breakfast. Courtyard garden.

    10GillianPosted on: 9-22-2024

The staff were excellent. They ensured I had gluten and lactose free breakfasts, answered my questions on the history of Corsica, made suggestions for visits and ensured I was comfortable.

The lift is rather noisy on the 4th foor
