    Pros +

    • Very good walkable location: train station, grocery shop, local beach Calendre with food, drinks, music. Ventimiglia town is wonderful charming town with narrow streets. Caravan have nice terrace for relax.
    • The reception person was welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful re the local area. The location was good for a walk into the town and beach.
    • Decent location and a really nice receptionist

    Cons -

    • Caravan have smoking smell inside. Hot inside, but there is fan so we use it.
    • We were not aware the restaurant facility would be closed. We were not aware you are required to provide our own towels and bedding. We were told it was in the description but we checked and couldn't find it anywhere. We would not have booked it had we realised,as we were back packing from England it was impossible to make our own provision. Consequently we incurred an additional cost for two sheets. two pillows and a shared towel. We were shocked to find the sleeping area is in fact a caravan at the rear attached to the front half of a wooden cabin. The cooking and eating equipment was very limited. It was very dark inside the property.
    • I'm unsure if he was the owner, but it seemed like the guy who was around calling the shots whilst we checked in was just generally unhappy about having people in the place. Grumpy at best, but pretty rude to be honest.. We then ended up paying a bunch of extra costs for bedding, towels, an extra 6E/day for each of the dogs, etc. The lodge was OK, but pretty poor for the price when compared with where we had stayed previously. The road behind was pretty noisy at times too. No major issues though.

The bungalow was spacy and the aircon was good

No bedding, no towels, so we did what maybe 100's of people have done before .... sleeping in the matrass and used the bed cover as planked. (Disgusting50 euro deposit per dog. You get it back when you leave, but you cant leave before 9.30. because nobody is there Restaurant was also closed, so you have to jump in the car to get something to eat.

Everything was excellent. The lady from the reception is very friendly and nice. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the camping. And we would like to come back again.

The restaurant is open only from 7 pm but their food is really delicious

Close to the city center and the beach. Friendly and flexible staff, quick check-in and check-out

Puts you close to the town. Quiet It did the job

There’s extra payment for bed linen and towels. It’s q old accommodation in essentially a static caravan with an old caravan welded to the side as a second bedroom. It’s functional but certainly not anything special.

I love very much the people working there, always smiling, helping and going the extra mile.

perfect for families with the internal restaurant / pizzeria in case you don’t want to go downtowngreat logistic for those moving around with car/bike/motorbikes cause you never are in cue

We stade in a bungalow with covered terrace, bathroom and kitchenette. All in all ist was a pleasant bungalow. Among the offered facilities I would mention the restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. Further more we enjoyed the football pitch inside and the wide alleys.

    9TheresaPosted on: 7-22-2023

Basic, clean with all we needed, including outside deck to relax. Relatively close to beach and also to both hilltop town and shops. Restaurant on site was fantastic.

    All good.

    Location and helpful staff.

The owner was very rude and very unkind

    8YauheniPosted on: 7-5-2023

Personal is friendly. The territory inside the camping is clean. And there is a parking inside.

It is not connected to the camping itself, but the area outside the camping is dirty. Generally the city is dirty.

This location was perfect for me, because it was within a short walk of all of Ventiiglia's many and varied features.Apart from the charms and great history of the old town, there are spots where you can look up the beautiful Valle Roia to see snow-capped Alps, then turn around to see across Italy, France and Monaco, plus Cap Ferrat, Cap d'Antibes and finally Le Massif d'Esterel on the horizon. Only a few kilometres away you'd pay thousands for that view.

I am very aware that many people would find the location extremely compromised by the noise of surrounding traffic. For one thing the property is skirted by a very narrow but high traffic road. The locals have a habit of honking the horn as they approach a blind corner (Italian cars being manufactured without brakes). There is also a major rail goods yard right next door, which caused vibrations and noise. Plus a freeway flyover close by. Although only a short walking distance to the old town (look for the secret elevator inside the tunnel near the roundabout), plus the bridge to the newer town and train station, you practically have to access the park via a junkyard. Not great for wheeled luggage or anyone unused to Italian drivers! For my first visit to Italy this all felt like 'local colour', and made my stay feel a little more adventurous. But maybe not a great choice for anyone wanting to 'get away from it all'. Having said all that, I really did enjoy my stay at camping Roma, and in Ventimiglia. And I think it's great value for money just the same. Inside the park is like a green oasis, and the staff could not be more helpful. Maybe just invest in some earplugs!

Tidy and well equipped caravan, secure site, very convenient for beach and town. a fan provided in van, and site seems clean and well managed.

the road and rail nearby can be noisy, but that’s a trade off for being close to town.

    9DanPosted on: 8-22-2022

The restaurant in nice, rezonable prices, the staff is lovely, very helpfull

If you have noisy neighbors, you will hear everything

    7VanessaPosted on: 7-14-2022

Friendly staff, perfect location. ( railwaystation/beach/ shops)

Nothing really its a camping not a hotel

I am very happy with the service provided by the excellent park staff. Excellent conditions and extreme cleanliness. Despite the language barrier, there was no problem, very good will and commitment from the entire staff.

Only the Wi-Fi network signal is quite weak and cannot be picked up inside the Bangalow, but using mobile data there are no problems.

Ok for one night. Host was nice tho.

Too many smokers around us. We traveled as a family and it wasn’t a proper environment for kids. If you like a smoky sleeping room you love to stay here.

    9MarkPosted on: 7-25-2021

Great location within walking distance of the town and the beach. Clean mobile homes, well equipped with fan provided in the absence of air conditioning.
