Hotel Zlatni bor

The restaurant staff were nice. The shower was absolutely amazing, which is great for a place you plan to be hiking from. It was so nice to get back each day and spend some time in that large shower with endless hot water unlike many other spots.

The room was simple and as expected, nothing surprising but good enough. Breakfast was delicious. The location is about 30 minutes from Žabljak center, so you need to plan for a short drive or walk.

This is a very nice hotel some kilometers away from Zabljak which is near Durmitor National Park. We were travelling by car, and there is parking space right at the hotel. The staff was kind and helpful. We had a large spacious room, which was very comfortable and clean - as well as the bathroom. Free wifi worked without problems. The restaurant for dinner had very good meals. Breakfast was also very good. We stayed only one night, but could have spent easily more days here.

Nothing to mention actually, it was all good.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Zlatni Bor in Žabljak. The hotel has clearly seen some years, and there was a faint smell of smoke in the corridor — something that seems fairly common in Montenegro. Our room was okay, nothing particularly memorable, but it served its purpose. Since we spent most of our time outdoors, leaving early in the morning and returning late at night, it was a fine base for exploring the surrounding nature.Breakfast was a highlight — we had the best cappuccino in Montenegro here, thanks to the lovely girl working behind the counter. Dinner was also delicious, with generous portions. Fortunately, the restaurant has separate dining areas for non-smokers, which we appreciated.Overall, a decent place to stay if you’re looking for a simple and convenient base for adventures in the Žabljak-Durmitor area.

One thing we personally struggled with in Montenegro in general is smoking indoors. While it is allowed and part of the local culture, for visitors from countries where it has been banned for many years, second-hand smoke can be unpleasant. This is not specific to the hotel, but rather a cultural difference to be aware of.

very shabby hotel. there was no coffee machine, the room was very dingy, there were ants in the room. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The worst part for me was the poor noise isolation - I could hear too well the neighboring room and the stairs above. The short blackout curtain didn't cover the whole window, so I woke up early with the sunlight.While the room was generally clean, some details were overlooked, and it wasn't cleaned at all during my entire stay.There was no air conditioning, and the heating was centrally controlled by the hotel.Overall, I'd say this place might suit deep sleepers who aren't looking for an indulgent experience.

Everything was great! Good beds and a nice view. The food in the restaurant was amazing. Staff was polite and heating was good.

A guest knocked on my door in the middle of the night as he missed his room. I guess room numbers could be marked a bit better.

The location is great. Food for breakfast was great you can't go wrong with breakfast like that. Specious rooms. Everything was clean. The staff was really nice. Would and will probably visit again.

A bit of maintenance is needed on the bathroom sink, but all worked ok. The kitchen is close so you could hear some banging but nothing too much.

Room was spacioius and clean, bed comfortable, good shower pressure. The included breakfast was plentiful.

Coffee was a little hard to get in the morning at breakfast and the tea on the buffet tables was terrible. Toilet seat was loose and toilet splashed everywhere when flushed.
