    Pros +

    • Great location, helpful staff, and the best hotel breakfast we had in this trip
    • Well, this is our 4th time at the property, so obviously we like it enough to keep coming back. Love the balcony overlooking the lake where we spend mornings reading. Breakfast needs a little work. New coffee machine that wasn’t up to snuff—but they’ll make you coffee from the machine in the lobby. Very comfortable. Good cotton sheets. Did I mention the fabulous view? And several good restaurants within an easy walk. Bathrooms and rooms have been renovated, but little things did fall apart. (But we’re fixed). And love that there’s a pool big enough for laps.
    • All.... location in town, breakfast was definitely okay, and the view of the lake was great.

    Cons -

    • Large bed and small room means very little floor space
    • Breakfast could be better. Would like more fresh fruit, better coffee (I think it was the milk in the machine, coffee was fine), and a whole wheat or whole gram bread offered every day. The bread they did offer a couple days was very good. And the rolls were very fresh. Good cheeses.
    • Shower, specifically water temperature could be improved. It was constantly changing from too hot to ice cold, throughout the entire shower.

The hotel is right on the lake and is connected to a restaurant that has nice view of the lake. Some hotel rooms have good views of the lake. The hotel is very convenient to the small town.

Very nice position and the parking was very comfortable. Nice room

Everything was good the only matter could have been scramble eggs for breakfast

    8GisellePosted on: 10-1-2024

The staff were really helpful and nice. The location was perfect, on the lake and right next to the ferry port to take you to the islands. They have a restaurant on the lake which has a very pretty view of the lake and the food was really good.

    It could have been cleaner.

Fabulous location with a view of the lake. Balcony. Good sized bathroom with decent shower. Easy walk to the train station. Breakfast satisfactory.

Noise from outside of the hotel where people seemed to congregate at the side. Not the hotel’s fault.

    Great location

No soundproofing in rooms, our bathroom leaked from the toilet and the shower door was not sealed and the bathroom flooded during use of the shower

    Location

The room was so small, feel we were definitely paying for the view of the lake not the actual accommodation. Very outdated hotel. Due to the stifling heat the room felt extremely claustrophobic. We checked out a day earlier as had paid for 2 nights but we were contacted and was asked to return as the receptionist didn’t take the persons tax of us when we left.

Such a perfect central location, right on the lake, plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The swiming pool area is much nicer in real life than in the photos. Had great time

I liked the room, spacious, nice, comfortable. Bathroom was nice too. Bed very nice. I got to change the room and got one other room with view over the lake, it was fantastic. I enjoyed there.Breakfast was good, variable, eggs, different salami and cheese, bread also, really good breakfast.Wifi was good also. The pool was small but it was nice to stay there a little and take a bath because it was not possible to take a bath in the lake due bad water. Only on some places around the lake was possible to swim, but anyway one local said to me to not take a bath there, if I want not to be sick. Pity, it would be nice but, the pool was OK.

everything. the pool. the balcony looking over the lake. good breakfast. kind people—behind the desk, cleaning the rooms, serving breakfast.

    10BethPosted on: 7-4-2024

the views, the room was comfortable, good cotton bedding, housekeeping friendly and polite and cleaned the room, changed the towels and made the bed daily. great pool—lovely for swimming. good nearby restaurants. good hotel breakfast.

The location and view were amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And, the on-site parking was convenient.

The decor was a bit old and dated. The balcony (and every other balcony we could see) was absolutely covered in bird poop that looks like hadn't been cleaned in days.

    10StephenPosted on: 6-2-2024

Lakeside for great walks and view.. Very clean and the breakfast was excellent..

    8NickPosted on: 5-25-2024

Great location, staff were all very accommodating

That there was no tea/coffee facilities in the roomAir con was noisy when on at night

    6AndrewPosted on: 4-16-2024

The location was excellent, right on the lake.

There is no way this is a 4 star hotel. It has clearly seen better days and now has an worn, outdated feel about it. The facilities are very basic, the rooms have cheap laminate flooring and cheap bedding and towels. The tiny balcony had cheap plastic chairs and was covered in bird droppings. The room itself was a good size but the bathroom was too small, meaning that to enter the shower it was necessary to squeeze past the bidet, the position of which prevented the shower doors from fully opening. Worst of all was the breakfasts, which consisted of little more than hard, overly dry cakes, a little bit of cold meat and cheese, and stone cold, uncovered scrambled egg. There was a bowl of tinned fruit but on our first morning the contents of the fresh fruit basket consisted of two shrivelled oranges, and on the second morning just a single kiwi and nothing else. The breakfast room itself was sparse and canteen-like, decorated in the style of the 1970s or 80s.

Staff were good. Great location. Good parking

    Breakfast was minimal.
