Hotel de France

A short walk from the old part of town, clean hotel with comfy bed and helpful staff. There’s a pool which I did not see since it was raining on my visit, and the breakfast looked nice.

Odd room layout with toilet and shower in separate small rooms with their own doors. Street facing rooms are a bit noisy. If you are arriving between 12-3, know that the door of the hotel is locked and there will be no one to check you in or store your luggage - you will be lugging that suitcase around for a couple hours! Luckily there are restaurants nearby where you can have lunch or coffee to kill some of that time. Not convenient, but it is the French way - you will survive.

Good location.

Parking was advertised but only a garage for 2 cars and I was charged extra. I had to leave my keys with reception.

Hotel's location was good, quality better with great breakfast and the staff the BEST!

Convenient for walking into Bergerac. Parking just outside of the hotel. Pool and garden was pleasant

Room and bathroom very basic

Rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff are all very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is first class.

The location was perfect. We received a warm welcome. There was coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

Modern bathroom/shower! airco and heating all available. Good location with parking and friendly owner/staff.Dinner in “le bistro den face” 12 minute walk.

The location was ideal, more or less equidistant between the train station and the old part of town on a nice square. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. We were too late in the season to use the pool but hopefully will go again at the right time of year. The fact that there is a lift is also very helpful.

Exceptional value for money.Everything in Room 8 looked new.Great receptionist gave us good Sunday restaurant recommendation.

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional, and throughout. All staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable.

Because we were there for 9 nights maybe a bit more storage but we managed ok.

Location excellent, staff friendly and helpful, plentiful cold buffet breakfast. Air Conditioning and a balcony. Private pool was great

Rooms on the very small side and cramped for 2 people. Very little storage, only one small wardrobe and no drawers. Bathroom had no storage, no shelf to put toiletries and no facility for wet towels.

The owners & staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very good .

The size of room was small and the wardrobe for the two of us was very very small
