About
This hotel first opened its doors back in 1927, when the present owner’s great-grandfather first opened up the kitchen to the public and how the hotel acquired its culinary tradition. The hotel is a rustic country cottage conveniently located just minutes from Girona airport and in the foothills of the Guillerias mountain range and the Montseny nature reserve. 12 mi from Girona city and Lloret de Mar.

Pros +
- Location and the price.
- Was great that they give you an option to park your car in a lot, even though it's a 5min walk from the hotel. The size of the room was good and everything seemed clean!
- The cheap price for a room. A good option for an overnight stay before a flight from Girona airport.Clean bathroom
Cons -
- Bedding was dusty ( deco pillows and bed cover) and I had trouble sleeping due to being alergic to the dust.
- The staff spoke zero English, so very hard to communicate. When we arrived no one was even there, there is no real reception, it's more part of a cafe. You need to speak Spanish or Catalan to communicate. The first night in our room was super hot and had a ruined night because there was no A/C remote in the room. The next day, I asked for the remote and an employee came back to the room with me set a temperature and left with the remote. When I asked if we could keep the remote in the room to adjust the temperature as needed, they said no and left with the remote. The curtains really need to be updated. Even cheap blackout curtains would be very helpful. Otherwise it get's bright in the room as soon as the sun rises.
- Bed was a bit uncomfortable. You can hear sounds from other rooms very clearly

Very nice family hotel. very welcoming
Not a problem for me but the hotel is next to the church that bells at 9am.
The walk in shower was good, breakfast was basic but ok. It`s always nice to have a car park specially if it´s free.
The bed was not comfy at all, The photos in Booking.com web site were nothing like the room we had at the hotel, we complained and he offered us a different room that was similar but had a walk in shower.
The hotel was really nice. It is a traditional hotel with real character. Everywhere was very clean and very well decorated. There are lots of nice touches of art throughout the building. The family room for 4 was excellent and spacious, with a great bathroom and a rooftop terrace. Unfortunately, we didn't eat at the restaurant, but it seemed lively with locals. The town is charming and an ideal overnight stop just 10 minutes from the motorway from France to Barcelona
It is situated right in the heart of the old town but is a bit difficult to find with a car.. It does have parking but this is a short walk away.
The Worst Hotel Experience of My Life
1. The hotel is located in the town center, and if you're driving, it's difficult to find the hotel using a GPS, especially if access to the center is blocked.2. The parking lot is not near the hotel (about a 5-minute walk away), but the owner can't clearly explain where it is because he only speaks Catalan and French. He then asks for a 5-euro deposit for the key needed to unlock the gate to the parking lot that you can’t find.3. The hotel is very old and poorly maintained. No investments have been made, so it looks like a cheap flop house. At best, it’s a hostel for vagrants, but certainly not a 3-star hotel.4. The room is small, dirty, and neglected. It's hard to squeeze between the beds (in the family room).5. The elevator is old and unsafe. It once stopped between floors, which was terrifying.6. There’s no proper staircase to the 3rd floor. Only an outdoor iron staircase, which looks scary and dangerous.7. The remote for the air conditioner must be obtained from the reception (which doesn’t exist—it's just a makeshift counter in the restaurant). To get anything, you need to use Google Translate to Catalan; otherwise, they won’t understand you.8. It's extremely noisy!!! A bell rings every 15 minutes from 100 meters away, and of course, it rings loudly every hour. You’ll have to accept the fact that you won’t get much sleep.9. The breakfast was the worst I've ever seen. You’re offered a choice between a sandwich or a croissant. That's all the food there is! Literally nothing else!! And you can wash down this luxury with cocoa (which you prepare yourself by mixing powder into warm milk) or tea.10. The customer service blew my mind. The owner and staff see you as an inconvenience and have no intention of cooperating with you. Instead, they behave in a way that ensures you never want to return to this wonderful place.
It was a cute little hotel, the staff were always were nice although they didn’t speak a lot of English, they always tried. It was clean inside and value for money was fine. There are not a lot of other hotels in the city it seems, so this is probably one of the best!
The breakfast that was included wasn’t great; just a little sandwich and coffee, plus I’m a vegetarian and there were not a lot of options for me, but otherwise fine.
Location is very good, building and history of the family hotel. Also I like some furniture in shared spaces like old armchairs.
It was too cold in the room and I couldn’t find air conditioner remote control so I had just direct air upwards manually. There was no hairdryer in the room, but the man in reception gave me it after my question. For the breakfast you can choose one of sandwich, toast or something third, and also coffee, juice or tea. It seems like bed sheets is very old. So, it was interesting experience, but I would not like to stay there again, sorry
Ok
Parking is far away, consult owner for parking coordinates before, if you go with booking coordination by car you will end up in 2 meter wide streets with no parking locaton.
big and clean bathrom
the room for 4 people was very small. When we arrived the first thing that the host told us was that if we made any noise he would directly call the police without asking first. We had no intentions of making noise and we didn’t. It does not feel very welcoming and in hindsight it is completely unnecessary.
Excellent location, convenient nearby parking and very friendly staff
Really, nothing to remark on this , as all was good
The room was quite big, beds were comfortable.
The hotel is an old building and a little bit outdated. Staff don't speak english and breakfast not the best.
The staff were very nice. The hotel is a little dated but for the most part it was good.Food was good, A family run hotel with a history. Beside an ancient church near the mountains.
Unpleasant smell in bathroom but it was taken care of. Not as close to the airport as we thought.
The atmosphere. I like real genuin family run accomodations and dont care about luxury. All is possible if you make contact and that is what creates memories
A bit challenging with your luggage as the parking is elsewhere. But hey, the price is modest and your submerge yourself in simple rural town life in the heart of Catalunia. Si us plau! Adeo!
good breakfast, well located next to a square with several restaurants
dated decor, sticky floors (cleaning personnel used too much soap?), and the staff was not very welcoming.
The hotel is really close to the main square and many restaurants. Free parking is available 5 minutes walk away from the hotel.
As the hotel is right by the main square, which has a church with a bell, it was really annoying how the church bell would ring every 15 minutes starting from 8 in the morning until about midday, and also at 2 am. The bell was constantly heard from my room. As the room wasn't really that well soundproofed, I also heard any other guests walking and talking in the hallway. So it wasn't the best stay for an undisturbed night of sleep.
Friendly staff and good food, good fair price
Parking is little walk
Super friendly staff, although they don't speak English.Very good restaurant. Nice clean rooms
Nothing, all was good!
Storage for bikes .Friendly staff , No problem changing rooms.
