Campanile Béziers A9/A75

Affordable, tidy, great location

It’s not that I don’t like but what I think the hotel should consider adding as part of its facilities vending machines with cold and hot drinks and snacks. For travelers that arrive late at night or need some sort of snacks or drinks late in the night they won’t need to drive out to get these things.

Campanile have changed! Total make over for the room and restaurant. Excellent bathroom.Evening meal in the restarant was very good, much better than the old Campanile.Breakfast good as always. All staff helpfull and friendly with a little english spoken.All the above for a great price.

The staff were outstanding. For example, there was no heating for the room and we were provided with an electric fire within minutes.The restaurant staff were overwhelmed with work, in fact the restaurant staff were understaffed given the number of diners, so the receptionist ran around to support them.The whole team treated us with kindness, politeness and a smile, some may argue this is part of the job. However, when under pressure this must be exceedingly difficult. Marks for the staff 10/10.

The restaurant should have been adequately staffed! The heating system should have been regularly maintained and hence functional! These matters should have been attended to by higher management rather than those in situ!

Location was convenient

The food in the restaurant for dinner was disgusting, cold and I had to send it back to the kitchen.

Good for an overnight stay to break up a long journey. Basic room but clean, warm & comfortable. Good value evening meal & breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

The floors are not clean … if you wipe it with a tissue it’s black

Rubbish left in the bin , edges and corners of the floor dirty and although the didn’t look dirty if you wipe a white tissue over the floor it was black

Very small rooms.

The hotel location was great just a couple of minutes off the motorway.Free parking and WiFi. A restaurant attached

We had a ground floor accessible room but this was not requested.The restaurant meal was disappointing and the menu limited.Breakfast was disappointing, cold and neither of the coffee machines were working until we got a member of staff and it wasn't even busy at that time.

simple but clean room, free parking on site, excellent breakfast and close to Beziers airport.

Had a ground floor room which was important to us and we were within sight of our car.

It's a bit tricky to find but that's due to Beziers road system, not the hotel.

Location

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions on route to and fro Spain. We do not speak french but are usually welcomed by the staff and we understand each other. This was a different experience. Checking in at 5pm, we were told we could not eat before 8pm . The waitress could not supply a menu in English and walked off asking the man at reception to deal with us. Embarrassing. He spoke a little English. We were offered 3 choices; chicken, fish or bolognese. The meals were not good. Poor. There was no comparison to the usual service. If this is the normal going forward, we will not be using this again. Not a great advert for Campanile. The day before we stayed at Campanile Beaune . Brilliant. Such a difference . Sad.

Always the Campanile standard. Efficient, clean, good value, and near the highway.

No issues, everything was just as it should be.

It is a small hotel. We had a room on the ground floor, car in front of it, handy! Two seperate beds, perfect. Bathroom with shower in the bath. Not my preference but it was only for one night.You can also have dinner there. The ambiance is not inviting, but the food is really very good!The breakfast was excellent, cereals, pancakes, eggs, omelettes, different French cheeses, ham and much moreI would use this hotel againAnd most important dogs are welcome.

The hotel reception is open 24h a day, good location close to the motorway.The room was clean and good, is like a motel. The breakfast was good.

The staff all friendly and food very good. Close to motorway so ideal stopover. Comfortable bed and appreciated the extra pillow in the wardrobe.

Unfortunately there was a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke. I realise it is difficult to stop people smoking but perhaps a reminder notice in the room or even a smoke detector would have discouraged it. As a non-smoker it is really unpleasant and never goes away even if you open the door for a while as it gets into the fabric. To be fair we stay at many Campaniles and have never had this problem before.
