    Cons -

    • No cabs at train station. Long mile walk uphill. Cab back to train - 20 euro for 1 mile!!
    • We booked to stay at hotel Particulier to meet up with a friend who lives near Beziers. She gave us a beautiful watercolour painting to take black to the UK.We asked the reception staff for some cardboard so we could keep it safe during our onward travels, as we were travelling through Belgium and France by train with rucksacks. We had wrapped the painting in cardboard and left it on top of the mini fridge (underneath a notepad and pen), the only free flat surface in the room. We had put all the leftover cardboard in the bin so it was obvious this wasn’t rubbish. When we returned from our day out , we noticed the painting was gone. We immediately informed the receptionist, who said she'd contact housekeeping asap. We heard nothing more and asked again on checkout the following morning. The reception staff that morning didn't understand us, so we emailed the Hotel later that day. We received no reply. We then phoned the Hotel a day or so later and the call went through to the Hotel (InSitu) next door. They asked us to email them das Hotel Particulier wouldn't be open for the next few days. We emailed Hotel InSitu as asked and again received no reply. This is not acceptable and not the service I expect from anywhere I stay. I expect my property to be safe in my room and emails to receive a response.Very disappointed and will never stay there again.
    • Breakfast was very expensive for what it was and we didn't have it because of this. The mini bar was extortionate.. 9 euros for a tub of nuts. We left well alone!

Stunning hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Comfy bed and lovely room and shower area. Outdoor area was lovely. Location is good; about a 10 minute walk to the square and slightly longer to cathedral.

Breakfast was very expensive for what it was and we didn't have it because of this. The mini bar was extortionate.. 9 euros for a tub of nuts. We left well alone!

The hotel was very well located - the centre was only 10 mins or so away. The room was very clean and being on the top floor, was surprisingly quiet in relation to traffic noise. The decor was colourful and quirky whilst also being quite minimalistic. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful and warm. Bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch.

The rooms had bare floor boards, which were very squeaky, meaning we were often disturbed by people moving around in the next room. We were also self-conscious of making a noise, as we didn't want to disturb anyone. Quite loud jazz music was often played at breakfast and parking nearby could be very difficult. The wifi was rather erratic.

The hotel was immaculate, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was spacious and lovely and cool when we returned at the end of a hot day of exploring. The pool was perfect too, for a cooling dip and a few lengths.Breakfast was also a pleasure, fresh breads, pastries, cheeses, jams and meat, plus fruit and yoghurt, coffees and teas. The location was quiet and about a 10 minute walk into the centre of town. A bus to the lovely beach of Vendras Plage stops a few steps away from the hotel entrance.Thank you to the hotel stay for a lovely stay and base for our 5 day stay. We visited Narbonne by train and, Pezenas, the beaches of Vendras and Valras all by bus.

We loved our stay at hotel particulier. One night we got lost and the receptionist came to find us!My husband broke his razor and a replacement, with shaving cream was provided with a smileThe swimming pool was a delight and cushions were provided for our comfort. Breakfast was first class and fresh orange juice supplied with a smile the room was quiet and bathrobe and slippers were provided in the bathroom. The hotel was close to all amenities. I want to recommend the Bambylor, a great fish restaurant only a few yards away in the same streetAll in all a lovely week in Béziers. Thanks to everyone at hotel particulier for making our stay so pleasant...

Two flights of stairs to get to our room was difficult but we are elderly and we knew about it in advance

    Large, bright bedrooms. Nice bathrooms.

One bedroom had no drawers or shelves for clothes and the wardrobe was situated to close to the bed. 2nd bedroom was storage was ok/Both rooms the windows were too high to look out of.

The size and style of the room. Spacious and comfortable

The air conditioning wasn't great, and there was a constant noise from it

The hotel was close to the historical centre in a beautiful 3 story home, our room was large with a comfortable bed and huge bathroom, all renovated. They offered a lovely traditional French breakfast.

The decoration of the hotel lent itself to a classical French design, however sadly our room was dressed in a cheap modern ikea feel.

Very stylish building, with beautiful decor. Lovely welcome on arrival. Very large room with a huge comfortable bed and a very nice en suite - I absolutely loved the spacious shower; probably the nicest shower I've ever been in. It was great to have bathrobes and slippers and all the other little touches. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Béziers.

Although there was an espresso maker in the room, we would have preferred a kettle. There were tea making facilities 2 floors down in the lounge for a fee, but I do like my cup of tea in bed on waking. I'm English though?
