- Location is very good. They made a very good job transforming a prison into a nice hotel!
- Quirky but very charming hotel - the rooms really are old but nicely updated prison cells. Great breakfast in the attached restaurant. Very secure bike storage. Outstanding location on a bluff but with nearby public elevators to lower level streets.
Cons -
- Next time I would book a bigger double room.
- The room was poorly furnished, no TV or kettle, no plugs close to bed and lights are far to turn off from the bed.
- Nothing in particular.

The locations were wonderful. The closeness to the cathedral, the view, the interior where the old prison was preserved, everything that was perfect. The room was comfortable and very happy with the shower. The people were very nice and helpful.
Breakfast was okay, but very sparse.

Amazing!
Very difficult to get to the hotel. We learned afterwards that we needed to input the address of thr hotel in our GPS and not the name of the hotel for driving directions. Please tell future guests!
the location is amazing, the renovation work and interior design are really sleek.
no aircon but very noisy fans instead that made the hanging bedside lights hit the wall and make a noise all night. The shower had no curtain and was studied for disabled use so when showering standing the showerhead was too low and had to be hand held to wash, making int not very practical.
Loved the renovation and the thought put into all of it, in preserving the history but modernizing it for a comfortable and beautiful stay. The uniqueness of the rooms with different furniture pieces (traveling with friends so got to see more than one setup!) felt like an extra touch, less ‘’mass/chain/cookie cutter”, the artwork well curated and the staff so lovely kind and helpful.
Loved everything about it except the room size, but hey it’s a former cell so not really supposed to be spacious. However in spite of being a small room it was very comfortable even without air conditioning despite its being unusually hot while we were there. Luckily the swimming pool really helped with that.
A little hard to figure out how to get to the hotel with our luggage. Otherwise, nothing.
It looks nice from below. Breakfast was good
The navigation system kept telling us arrived but that was at the bottom of the hill. Wouldn’t have found it without help since our phones didn’t work either. No AC and it was very hot in the room. It needs some signs at the bottom
Very artsy and creative play on the fact that this really is an old prison - rooms (cells) are small but bathrooms modern and well-appointed. There are several communal spaces including a large restaurant space which is where breakfast is served in the morning. Lovely small lap pool which was very refreshing. Hotel is adjacent to the Cathedral at top of hill. We walked down into town and enjoyed several different routes, restaurants and a June 21 music fest! This was a fun and good stay (spectacular views) for two nights. Also there is an elevator to assist visitors coming up to the Cathedral, so you can mitigate the climb back up to hotel by using that. No AC but good ceiling fan.
My dog was welcome. It's a lovely location albeit you have to park some distance from the hotel. Loved the modern art located around the hotel.
It was a little noisy late evening. The bed & bathroom were very clean but there was a lot of dust on the window frames & light fittings.
The renovation is superb, once a prison now a lovely hotel.
Only that the restaurant wasn't open in the beginning of the week.
Absolutely loved this hotel, its so quirky! Room was small but very comfortable and was spotlessly clean. Its in a great location for exploring Beziers and we will 100% stay there again.
Unfortunately we picked a day when the bar was closed so we didn't get chance to experience this. If everything had been open then we would have given this a score of 10.
Very clean , and friendly staff , hotel was very novel , would have liked a coffee making facility.
Restaurant was not up to expectations, fantastic location, but food portions very small

The location, the atmosphere
Breakfast wasn’t fully ready at 0700 and the staff didn’t know what time dinner started. Google said all day, the staff said 6, it actually opens at 1900.
The Hotel is full of character, much of the original prison can still be found, especially the cells. We stayed in a deluxe room, the views of the surrounding countryside and river were amazing. High on the hill next to the Cathedral the location is perfect with the town centre, bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk.
Nothing we did not like, wish we could have stayed longer.
Very creative use of space, great art around, bistro with a beautiful views, very nice bathroom and the whole vibe of the place.
The standard rooms have no place to keep clothes, just a thing for a few hangers. For longer stays might be worth to upgrade.
An amazing artistic and hip renovation of an ancient prison. It's a one of a kind experience. You sleep in former cells, that still have traces of their past woven cleverly into the artwor.k. But the rooms also come with a luxurious bathroom which certainly wasn't there before. Breakfast is excellent, set in a beautiful dining room with city views. Bravo for such a fantastic conversion of an historic building!!
