You Hotel de France Valence - Handwritten Collection

Great value! Would highly recommend.

Location.

There are construction works going on and there is no reference in the description in Booking com. We hear the noise of works taking place early in the early morning. This disturbed our sleep. For a triple room there were two tiny toilet paper rolls that were nearly up. ( Around 1/3 of the roll). On arrival my teen daughter went down to ask and the receptionist said she will bring it in 5 minutes. She never did. Then I called the reception at 10 pm. No one answered although the reception is supposed to be open till 11 pm. Then we went to the reception again & a new person on shift gave one toilet paper roll. They really seem to be "stingy" about toilet paper rolls. I left 3 messages via booking com system and no one responded.I think it's really not worth the money at this moment.

Location to centre and train station. Pleasant foyer and breakfast room. Good room, comfortable bed.

Breakfast at €20 was a little expensive although is a buffet.

Liked the room, staff excellent, and great location

No milk in the room. Needs a fridge even if small. Paper cups not smart. Rowells small and thin

Location, staff, private parkkng

More water in the room please.Thank you

Location, parking.

More water in our room or a water fountain in the hall.

This location was AMAZING. You're close to the old town area and we were right across from the Christmas Market. The bed was also very comfy! The staff were really very helpful as we had a rental car with us. Their English was very very good compared to my terrible French!

Very well renovated / modernised property. Spacious and well-appointed brand new room overlooking car park. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, a few minutes walk from city centre attractions, shops, and restaurants.

No glasses or mugs in the rooms - just paper cups. One real coffee capsule (and one decaffeinated) for two people. Ditto for tea - one infusion, one detox, no real tea.

Location, staff, room, parking. We did not have breakfast.

The common area, ie the lift needed cleaning. I think there was some building works happening so that may be there reason, but they should clean the dust and dirt on leaving.

Location and easy parking

Nothing, except I some of the rooms the Air Con was not working.

A very nice place to stay in downtown Valence. Comfy hotel with welcoming staff. Good breakfast buffet available for a price. Walking distance from most restaurants and coffee shops.

Great staff, very good room, decent breakfast....

The hotel bar did not have any Armagnac......

Room was fine, a bit small, but livable. The bathroom was fine and bedding was good. The parking was superb.

The room was a bit small.

Central location to shopping and old town. Comfortable bed. Seemed better than any of the alternatives from the research I did.

Slightly grungy exterior takes the polish off the four-star facility. Odor in central corridors.

lovely breakfast outside on beautiful terrace. Fresh fruit much appreciated

Central location. Close to the old city. Near the train station. Private off road parking.

No laundry service

Good location a short walk from both station and city centre. Comfortable room and bed, and excellent breakfast.

Breakfast items not always replenished sufficiently quickly.

Reception staff were excellent. Room was in need of a re paint in places but generally okParking excellent

The staff was very kind, the hotel’s location is absolutely great, and having its own large parking lot in the city center is priceless.

The location

Elevator was broken and they put us at the second floor while being with a 12 month old with a baby
