- The staff was somewhat inattentive. They were often away from the desk and although there was a bell to ring, they took a long time to arrive or occasionally just didn't arrive.Sadly the bed wasn't comfortable.
- The room is is in pretty poor condition, even at a discounted rate. The floorboards are displaced, gaping and deteriorating, and the room was so humid, that it was unbearable to sleep, even though I enjoy the warmth. Because of its position and the skylights and lack of windows, all the hot air set in and I had a hard time sleeping.

Fabulous location. Great restaurant, excellent service
The room was very nice and the shower had hot water, which is always important. It's a great location yet far enough from the main square for the festival music not to intrude on our sleep.

Stayed here with two young kids walking the Camino. Location was amazing. Kids loved exploring the ruins of Iglesia San Pedro across the street. Fantastic menu del día served in back room of the restaurant. Great buffet breakfast with hot options: worth the money.
The hotel is in a beautiful old building and is right next to the ruins of an old monastery which is fun to explore. Everything was comfortable.
Stunning setting!! Gorgeous room. Supreme deluxe double. With Retractable roof panel. Lovely bar restaurant. With excellent service. Wonderful wait staff. Next to historic grounds with view of city and the picturesque main thoroughfare with flags. 10/10!! Exceptional value too!! I would say don’t miss this stop and hike to logrono in morning!
A luxurious stay after several days on the Camino. The room and bathroom were large and bed comfortable. I had a room overlooking the church ruins across the way. The room was very quiet despite facing the main street.
The staff was exceptionally helpful. Meals were excellent, and they went out of their way to accommodate allergies. More than I would ever expect.
This place was a highlight of our trip. Very unique and located right in the old town across from ruins of an old cathedral
The hotel was well located, and the overall aesthetic appeared promising. The pilgrimmes menu at the restaurant attached to the hotel was robust! The staff were lovely.

The once extraordinary hotel is still beautiful, and could be again, with some overhauling. The tile decor, the spacious room, the in-room jacuzzi tub, and easy elevator access all reflect luxury accommodation. Staff are helpful and professional. The food and wine in the downstairs restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced (I ate one menu del dia/dinner: 15 euro). As a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago, I splurged on this rather expensive room with its offering of the tub and its location on the path. I would have given the hotel a 9 out of 10, had it not had the issues outlined next.
Unfortunately, my bed mattress and fitted sheet showed signs of bed bug infestation (no live bugs found); I share this, not because the hotel is at fault but in hopes they take further measures to reduce the risk for reoccurrence. Travelers, check your mattresses before placing yourselves or your items on any bed! Even though I loved the room, I had to ask to be moved to another room, which the staff handled efficiently and well. Both rooms I looked at were otherwise clean. There were 2 large skylights in my room, positioned above the bed; unfortunately, they each had very substantial cracks, and I wondered if these could break and fall onto my sleeping body at night. I forgot to mention this to staff at check-out, though I attempted to phone them later. I recommend covering all mattresses with a sealing mattress covers and fixing the compromised window glass.
Close to everything.
No laundry facilities or services offered. Staff seemed unwilling to assist when we asked for a place to go for laundry. We were called and asked if we would be keeping our reservation hours after we had already checked in and had been given a room.
Right on Camino path and had an amazing breakfast for 9e that started at 7am. Supper was also delicious. I had a tub in my room (304) so I could soak my feet.
My room was a free upgrade but not really a great deal other than the tub. The bed was hard, the air conditioning did not work, and a few cosmetic things-some lights hanging from ceiling and tile sticking up that I tripped on. I did not say anything as by the time I realized the air was not working I was tired and went to bed with my fan.
Convenient location on the Camino. Friendly staff, clean facilities and nice restaurant/cafe. And a bathtub to soak a pilgrim’s muscles.
Had admired the historic building on prior trips through Najera. The outside is the best part. Take a photo and move on.
The elevator was broken and we had to carry our bags to the top floor. Room was very hot and took a while to cool off. AC is very loud. Room was not very clean for the price. I don't usually say bad things, but this really was a disappointment.
I loved my room. It had a small balcony and an amazing view.
The restaurant was understaffed so servers were not so nice or attentive.
Location, air conditioning, staff and comfort
Was great
The gentleman at check in/out who also worked Saturday breakfast was excellent. Having dinner available earlier was much appreciated. Lovely room, too.
The wait/bar staff (other than the man doing check-in/out, who also served the Saturday breakfast) seemed frazzled and were nog particularly friendly or helpful.
Bar, location, waitress in bar was very good, breakfast.
Reception. The man at reception was not very welcoming and chatted on phone for several minutes without acknowledging us. The woman in the bar in the morning and at lunch was very friendly, helpful and hard working.
