Pros +
- Our room was a good size with an amazing view. AC worked well

- Beautiful castle hotel with wonderful views, a delicious breakfast & an extraordinary and welcoming host, Javier. When my husband dislocated his finger, Javier called the health clinic to come in on Sunday, walked us to the clinic & interpreted for us and when he needed an x-Ray that was not available in town, he contacted a private hospital in a nearby town to arrange for him to be treated. We were seen immediately and treated very well. Javier treated us like family and we highly recommend a stay at his hotel.
Cons -
- Access is difficult. No place to park car and many flights of strep stairs to carry luggage. No bell service
- Would have liked a room refrigerator. Somewhat different breakfast.
- We loved everything about this hotel, however because of its location and the set of steps up to the entrance, it could be difficult for anyone with a disability

A really beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. We traveled with a baby and a dog and they couldn't do enough for us to make sure we were comfortable. Big rooms which were immaculately clean, beautiful views.
Location, beautiful hotel, owner was a gentleman and staff very nice
Superb location, superb historical building and brilliant staffOur room was amazing on the top floor with shuttered windows opening up to amazing views. The breeze through the windows at night beats air conditioning every day
Javier is great. Does everything well.
Would have liked a room refrigerator. Somewhat different breakfast.
A beautiful hotel in an amazing location, within minutes walking distance of all Laguardia has to offer. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and with air conditioning. The owner was very attentive and helpfull. The breakfast was contintental with ample servings. We had dinner in the restaurant below the hotel which was excellent. We parked our car in the public carpark on the road just below the hotel. You can't drive to the door of the hotel however you can drop off our luggage around 50mts away.

It was a lovely hotel, with gorgeous view, like old csel. Xavier owner the best one, he did everything that our vacation was comfortable. Great breakfast- 15 euro. Definitely can recommend this hotel!
The hotel is in a fantastic location, in the old town, and our room was superb, with views which are second to none. The welcome we received was amazing, and the breakfast was great. All in all, I cannot recommend the place enough.
Due to the nature of the town, there is no parking at the hotel and limited spaces available in public car parks, albeit they are free. This is not something that hotel can do anything about, and is a minor inconvenience in return for what you do get.
Javier the host was so welcoming and friendly and good natured. He attended to our every need with such a lovely warm smile and gave many helpful suggestions when we made enquiries about where to visit etc. The hotel is of exceptional quality, our room was very comfortable, big and beautifully furnished, breakfast was very hearty, fresh and delicious. The castle is very charming and has art deco style stain glass windows in the bar area. It is well located for visiting the famous Calatrava architecture winery next door.
This is not your classic international identikit luxury hotel - it is instead a wonderful, memorable travel experience which gives you a unique and extraordinary taste of traditional Spain. Located in an astonishingly lovely unspoilt medieval town with a lively local scene, in the middle of the most stunning, spectacular wine country, the hotel is itself a fascinating ancient building with huge character and spectacular views, lovingly cared for by a charming owner who greets you with wine and offers home made cakes at breakfast and the chance to see the view from the castle tower.. Forget your luxe expectations and demands, come here and live a little!! Wonderful.
Its not the sort of 5* set up you get in multiple bland hotels - bathrooms, beds, wifi, aircon etc are not of that type. But who cares? Its all good, it all works. You came to Spain, so live it!
The heart of Laguardia resides in this castle. Breathtaking. The charming and classy castle has been well kept since 200 years into existence and 50 years out of that since has been enveloped with love by the owner Javier. How blessed to have met him and be welcomed by his presence on my arrival. He and his team members Dunia & Hamza were all so kind. They took good care of me from arrival to departure. I felt like a princess Belle from Beauty & Beast receiving, such great hospitality and a red rose to honour my special birthday stay! From the location, to the comfort of my bed, views, the toiletries and quality towels to the bespoke breakfast (make sure you make room for this! Its a feast!) worth at least an hour to chew and enjoy the most amazing views of the mountain tops! They have a restaurant too! The food & wine has got the local passion all embedded in it! Its situated at the park and there you can stroll and find Felix Ma. Samaniego with the best views of Laguardia! But to really get the best view, you need to climb up the tower for sunset! Wow.Wish I stayed longer - I had the most restful sleep, but I will come back! Thank you Javier amigo!
we liked espescially the nice location, the quality of the room and how friendly the staff was.
Hospitality and breakfast were amazing We had a fabulous selection of fruits meats cheeses and pastries ! The host makes you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is situated in the old town with the park just below perfect to walk the dog and he loved it too ! A wonderful stay !
Fairy tale castle in prime location with the most amazing host. He was so knowledgeable and helpful with tips and made reservations for us at not to be missed venues. We had a 5star experience because of him. We hope to return as soos as we are able to!
It is a quirky and charming place with a lovely kind host.
Perhaps lacking a welcoming guest lounge, it felt like the restaurant was a bit in decline.
Absolutely loved the staff. The gentleman who checked us in was so warm & friendly. He brought 3 different glasses of wine to our rooma very nice surprise. The restaurant was lovely and delicious. Our room was outstanding and loved the bed. So comfy! Would definitely stay there again.
Everything was wonderful!
The host, SENOR Javier, was amazing. This handsome and spry man hustled down the castle stairs and picked up our suit cases and insisted on taking them up the stairs for us! That was only the beginning of his most sincere and gracious welcome. Everything we needed and more was done for us including a beautifully set table for breakfast with a freshly cut rose from the garden. Breakfast was awesome! Fresh fruit, bread, croissants and jam, eggs, juice, ham and cheese, coffee and tea and juice, all set on a beautifully laid table in the castle dining room. The view from the room was incredible! And Javier helped us so much with our logistics as we had arrived thinking we could take public transport to our next stop, but learned that was impossible. Javier arranged for a private driver to take us where we needed to be. If you want a comfortable bed, a room with a view, a delicious breakfast and the warmest possible welcome, then this is the place to stay.
The restaurant below the hotel was lackluster. Nothing to write home about.
The owner is so nice and so very friendly. Have us great recommendations for vineyards to try and places to see. The location couldn't be better. It's in the walled city so it's only 5 minds walk from all the city Bodegas/Wineries. The view from the hotel is stunning
